Almost positive those 2 he took late there were the 1st 2 he's taken since the maintenance day.  He definitely didn't take any against the Pens nor Jets.  Don't recall him taking any against the Avs either.

Just got done explaining to my dad that this was happening, and why Jack was so off. Then Jack goes and takes two draws. He thinks I just make stuff up

I enjoyed Eichel's warrior-mode after we went down two. But I would guess he won't be finishing this season based on whatever injury he's fighting through barring us winning the next 4 or 5.

Top line definitely not getting it done in the big games that's for sure. Jack might be playing hurt, he might be tired out from over use, other teams might be paying more attention to them as we play tighter harder games, maybe a combination of all 3 but they certainly don't dominate like they have to for us to be successful.

I'd imagine all three.

It’s only a matter of time before he wants out. But I’m gonna say this he can be much more of a factor if he skated hard every shift . He coasts around a lot.

I don't there's a single high end player who plays 20+ min a night who doesn't coast some to conserve energy.

I agree but he could flat out be a major factor if he turn on the jets and took shorter shifts. I like Jack but that’s what I see. A guy with a ton of talent who only turns it on every once in awhile.

I'm not sure why I'm so pissed, I just feel this was the end of our season.  This game.  We HAD to win it.  One goal, by a newcomer, is all we got.  GDammit!  GDammit!

He definitely has a nagging injury but there were a few mental gaffes as well

This doesn’t even make sense.

“Hugging it out” is something you do with someone you’ve had disagreement with as a reconciliation.  Why would I be hugging it out with Berglund?

Dude, let’s look at some facts.

1. @SwampDis just mad about the game.

2. He’s not hurting anyone venting.

3. Epstein didn’t kill himself.

4. He’s not the only one who ever thought this.

5. He’s the only with the balls to actually say.

6. There’s no such thing as a safe space.

7. I’m completely messing with you.

I have season tickets to the Knights and I’m not sure if Buffalo came to play or Vegas wasn’t motivated because Vegas usually plays a heavy forecheck style and really close the gaps quickly on teams on the defensive side of the game. All in all not impressed with Hutton and the defense needs some work in Buffalo. Maybe a new defensive coach?

Two cup contenders playing in a manner conducive to maximizing their seeding and getting prepared for long runs. The Sabres gave everything they had, and played 4.5 of their strongest periods of the year to match. These games were a good barometer of the gap between us and where we want to be

Randall, too soon, man, too soon.  Let me grieve.

This is the Sabres story every year! It’s difficult being a Buffalo fan because at the end of the day they always find ways to disappoint.

Maybe next time put that type of effort in against the dogshit teams we threw away all those points against and maybe our season wouldn't be over before the end of February.

Could be that this 0-2 run is indicative that squeaking into the playoffs is not coming to fruition.

I’m not just mad about the game.

I’m mad about these pussies who have played here making millions of dollars who claim to be so fragile that they needed to go somewhere else to find their smile. F to the U.

That may be too strong, but I am certainly not going to celebrate their accomplishments once they leave here.

Grow a set and admit that you were a piece of *****.

Pretty much sums up my sentiment.  I don't watch a lot of other games but the ones I do it seems that other teams are always hustling.

His offence is really coming along and I love the way he seems to want the puck when the game is on the line.

He followed his man into the corner leaving a man open in prime space in the slot on goal one. Not his fault, per se, but the wrong decision.

He was shoulder to shoulder with the puck carrier multiple times on goal two and couldn’t separate him from the puck. Right idea, poor execution.

He made a real weak stick check effort at the blue line on goal four when all he needed to do was lean on his man to stop him from getting a shot on the empty net.

Three Vegas goals that better play from him might have prevented.

The first goal was because of a very bad line change, that wasn't on him.

Their exoskeletons were made with human tissues, or something. You know you got emotional at the end of T2 when Arnold understood feelings.

Also, John was wearing a sweet Public Enemy shirt.

I’ll always remember the end of T2. In the end Arnold found his love for the game. Maybe we should dip a few players in molten metal to see if it works for them.

Not entirely. Kahun  could have moved in and kept Roy from circling back in towards the goal but he chose to just stand out front instead.

This sort of thing has been a problem long before he got here. Many of our forwards simply do not cover for D men caught out of position. It's bad team D. You watch any good defensive team (like Boston) and 9 times out of 10 their forwards cover for their D if they get caught. We're better than we used to be, but we still play poor team D.
