They clearly took the criticism to heart.  Today's ceremony was well done.

Though announcing Larsson at LW and Girgensons at C did lower the overall score a point or 2. ?

So what happen to the previous leadership?

Someone got fired over the last debacle?

Interesting choice of words.

Brawndo knows the details better, but apparently the guy they brought in last January from PSE  to handle stuff like that got canned early this season.  Before he'd gotten canned, somebody asked him if everything was set on the celebration games and he told them yes (not sure if that was true or there was stuff he still expected to do, but got canned before following up).  He then got canned and nobody bothered to follow up with Adidas, so no Goatheads.

But I thought they had the issues ironed out now? They only wanted to do goatheads?

Don't know.  Had expected slugs (or abominable snot smears, a.s.s. ? ) for warmups and alumni.  Glad they weren't in them.  (Liked the styling; but the logo was beyond attrocious.)

I still would have liked to see it. Celebrating what's come before!

Can see that.  But, if they could only pull off either the sweaters or the presentation properly, not both, and considering who we're talking about, getting both right was unlikely; IMHO, the presentation was more important, and had goosebumps when the video started and was just watching on TV.  So, again, IMHO, they got the more important part right.

Fair enough. Just find it weird cause the plan for 90s night was apparently both, right?

I remember they sold a crap ton of them right when they came out, so....

Yes, probably true.  It’s also true that tons of fans have been throwing money at the team for years to get the privilege of season tickets for a crap product.

Just because someone is willing to buy it doesn’t prove that it’s not terrible.

Messing up both?  That seemed the plan. ?

On a related note, for kids day last weekend, they let the kids play all the games, and just like last time they lost most of them; but unlike last time when they got nothing and liked it; this time the kids were given the prizes anyway.

People having been desperate for B&G and their being 1/2 way through their best run (all of 2 friggin' years long <_<) since the '70's had NOTHING to do with those merchandise sales, right?

How many 1,000's long was the ticket waiting list?  (Clearly that was due to knowing they'd be making the star of the Apprentice's hair piece the new logo, right?  Couldn't have had anything to do with the product WEARING the unis, right?)

It should be noted that privately the team only takes blame for Robitaille misspell. Andreychuk did not wear that jersey on ice and team had no explanation for that picture.

That's not what the article states:

A: I’m glad you asked because there has been a lot said about it. The truth is Mike Robitaille has had that jersey for a long time and he’s worn it out multiple times. In fact, he got it before, knew it was misspelled and likes to wear it. He showed up that day and put it on. It wasn’t something we gave him that night, but he wore it.

In terms of Dave Andreychuk, that was '80s Night and that jersey we did give him. There is a positive and negative to that. The negative is the jersey was misspelled. The positive is the error was caught in the hallway before he went on the ice. We were able to swap out the jersey and get him the correct one before he went on the ice.

That’s kind of what I meant, just phrased it badly.

It should be noted that Larry Quinn was proudly sporting a slug pin on his lapel during his interview with Duffer last night.

PA pointed that out in the GDT.  It was also noted in that thread that during the ceremony Terry Pegula was also wearing 1.
