Kobe Bryant dead, confirmed.

Recommended Posts

No mention of Kobe on CNN coverage. They must not feel comfortable with the sourcing of the confirmation.

Well, they just announced it during the Pro Bowl and then immediately cut to an image of a pizza.  How ceremonious.

I am deeply disappointed that I have to say this, but please do not post, in threads commemorating the departed, criticisms of the departed.

ABC News reported His Four Daughters may have been with him.

Please be wrong about that

Alexis Wainwright (@AWainwrightTV) Tweeted:
Sources have confirmed that neither #Bryant’s wife or children were on board of the helicopter that crashed.

Fox had a brief discussion of/ tribute to Bryant during the MSU Minnesota game.  Pretty sure the color analyst had been a teammate of his.

RIP.

Yes.  A Pizza Hut pan pizza, to be specific.

Crazy, you'd think having a private helicopter would be safer than driving in California. I am very curious to see what may have caused the crash.

Either way, very sad news, probably no words can do justice to console those affected 😞

There has been some fog here. I have no details but fog plus mountains is pretty dangerous. I wonder if he tried to elevate above the fog to gain better visibility of the mountains. Going too high can cause a helicopter to stall out. I think a Blackhawk is what he was flying which has a ceiling near 15,000.

I'm not sure how Vanessa and the 3 kids move forward from this.  I feel so awful that the newborn will never know her father, a man who by all accounts had turned his life around and was a great dad.  Just awful and so unnecessary.
