nfreeman Posted January 3, 2020 Report Share Posted January 3, 2020 This is a perfectly fine move. Scandy had negative trade value at the end of last season. RK was able to rehabilitate his value and the Sabres were able to get a pick for him, clearing some cap space and easing the logjam at D so Miller doesn’t need to be healthy-scratched. Our situation could go from having a surplus to a deficit of NHL blue liners. I don't like to think this way, but why not expect this? Then we miss the playoffs by 25 points instead of 15? Ok I’m done. Let’s just hope this is a start to more things to come but that’s how I’ve felt since last May so not holding my breath.
