Without precise calculations we could undermine a star player or overvalue a just-a-guy and that’d end our fancystats real quick, wouldn’t it?

Did Luke need precise calculations to successfully hit the thermal port with proton torpedoes? No, he did not.

The formula itself works as described, there's nothing wrong with it.

His tendency to assert player value based solely on the calculation? Dubious

I'll rephrase, the value he is using to calculate his formula and project an actual meaning with the results is heavily flawed.

I'd much prefer Larsson to ERod for that slot on Skinner's line.

If Angry Larry is moved from that line, then RK can't deploy him in a way that best serves the team. There are three other lines that should be able to score goals.

Hope we win. I am sick of hearing about how Matthews is better than Eichel. Knowing our luck though, this will be the game that screws up the streak.

I don't know if it's Twitter or other message boards but if it's the latter, I recommend not going to those sites.

There's a bunch of flaws with pi's formula.

here is some code that i wrote to determine stuff

if (TEAM = "Sabres") THEN "Awesome"

ELSE  "MEH"

The more advanced SQL ranking version

Case

When Player = "Eichel' Then 1

Else Rank(Player, SomeStats) +1

End As PlayerRank

It did warp my mind. Have a question for you. Are Eichel's rear panels supposed to function as force field deflectors or are the panels themselves deflectors?

His chart says Holl and Dermott are very good. Tavares and Marner, not so much.

I'm with you. It's awful hard for me to find value in Pi's charts.

TRpm doesn't tell you who the most talented players are.

TRpm does tell you who is most often on the ice when the team is either giving up goals or scoring goals at even strength.
