Sabres absolutely dominated the 2nd period and that was a rocket by Olafsson to tie it...he has been a revelation...dude has a good shot at 30+ goals which is pretty impressive for a rookie even if he is 24.

Sabres need a good 3rd. Even penalty kill has been good allowing very few shots and had an odd man rush...definitely need to do better than winning 20% of the faceoffs like they have through 2 periods.

Sabres starting to really play consistent good hockey and limiting their lapses...Kreuger is putting his stamp on this team and they are finally starting to believe in themselves and show some mental toughness instead of cracking like a raw egg at the first sign of any trouble.

I think Jokiharu has seen his play drop off recently

He was lauded for some excellent play last game after a bad first shift.

He knew what to do to defend that ... he just needs to be stronger when he does it.   He is 20 and he will get stronger.  The Isles are strong on the puck.

Islander holding and grabbing a lot and the refs are watching but seem to have put away the whistles.

It would be nice to get a call after the calls they made on us in the second.  Need a goal somehow.

As long as we're still ahead of Tampa, Toronto and Montreal, we'll get no calls.

On the Isles' goal, Johansson passes up a chance to try and feed Skinner, and Skinner loses a puck battle high in the zone.

I was waiting for that.  There were a lot of plays not made on that goal.

Linus has has been great but he was not at his best on either of their goals.
