McClavicle vs Eichel.

Ullmark between the pipes, so there's a CHANCE they can get 2 points.

Assuming they'll run the same lines but expect Miller is back.  Not sure if he takes Bogosian's or McCabe's spot.

Getting a W today would be very helpful as it would give them 11 points in the 3rd 10 game segment and though they'd be off the 12 points in 10 games pace, just getting 14 in the next 10 games would have them right there again.

The Buffalo Sabres will look to close out their three-game road trip on a high note. They're in Edmonton tonight to play the Oilers at Rogers Place.

It's an 8 p.m. ET faceoff with the Buick Game Night pregame show kicking things off on MSG at 7:30.

Buffalo's next home game is Tuesday against St. Louis. That game will air on NBCSN.

Here's what you need to know.

  • This is the first of two meetings between the Sabres and Oilers this season.
  • Last meeting: Edmonton defeated Buffalo 7-2 in Edmonton on Jan. 14
  • Next meeting: Thursday, Jan. 2 in Buffalo
  • The Sabres are 4-5-1 in their last 10 games vs. the Oilers; 6-4-0 on the road.
  • Tonight's game is the third in a three-game road trip through Western Canada for the Sabres. Buffalo is 13-7-4 against the Pacific Division since the beginning of last season, including a 3-2-3 record in 2019-20.
  • The Sabres are 26-40-11 all-time against the Oilers but are 11-6-1 against Edmonton since 2005-06 and 4-2-0 against them in the last three seasons.

I’m trying to decide if more people will watch this game if the Bills win or lose. Either way, it’s a Bills town today.

Those red uniforms have to go. They look like they're playing in their cold weather pyjamas.

As for the Sabres, no idea what'll happen. Ullmark I guess, strength against strength on one line teams, I suppose it's decided by who makes the most dumb mistakes. Toss up.

I’d like to see them avoid going multiple months without back to back wins again like last season, and winning back-to-back starts with 1, so, let’s take this one.

Upon further review, Thorny started this post forgetting that Eichel's overtime goal was wiped out, then was too lazy to start over. I can't prove it, I just feel it to be true.

Heyo. Speaking of young ink, you were a sexy little m-effer. (18 or older in pic, I hope.)

Brah, the stories I gots.  To be a fat, bald, middle aged schlub; is quite disheartening.  Thankfully, I married up a weight class or two.
