The Sabres and Kings go head-to-head for the first time this season.

Tune in for the Buick Game Night pregame show at 10 p.m. on MSG. Then Dan Dunleavy and Rob Ray will have the call after the opening faceoff at 10:30 on MSG and WGR 550.

Los Angeles is 2-4-0 on the season and is coming off a 2-0 loss to the Hurricanes on home ice on Tuesday. Captain Anze Kopitar leads the team with eight points (2+6) in six games.

From the Game Notes...

  • This is the first of two meetings between the Sabres and Kings this season.
  • Last meeting: Buffalo defeated Los Angeles 4-3 (OT) in Buffalo on Dec. 11, 2018.
  • Next meeting: Saturday, Dec. 21 in Buffalo
  • The Sabres are 5-5-0 in their last 10 games vs. the Kings; 3-6-1 on the road.

  • With a win tonight, the Sabres would have three straight wins against the Kings for the first time since Oct. 23, 2003 to Jan. 14, 2006 and wins in consecutive visits to Los Angeles for the first time since March 12, 1994 and March 13, 1996.

  • Tonight's game wraps up Buffalo's first of 14 sets of back-to-back games this season, which began with a 5-2 loss last night at Anaheim.
  • The Sabres were 7-8-1 in the first game of back-to-back sets and 6-8-2 in the second game last season. Buffalo's point breakdown in last season's back-to-back sets was: four points (3), three points (1), two points (6), one point (2) and zero points (4).

I don't see the point.  The problem with their game last night wasn't mechanical.  They lost the game in their heads.

They were completely dominated physically, they completely abandoned all structure in the D zone, the PP finally came back to earth, and key players like Dahlin had horrible nights.

That's why we lost.

Is Erod still here? Watching last night he looked lost.

Are you talking about the five shifts he played, in which he was a major part of three scoring chances on the rush? Does anyone have film of Rodrigues looking lost, besides having bad positioning for 0.2 seconds while playing left defense in favor of a left defenseman who was wandering in the neutral zone like an idiot? Because I spend so much time thinking I'm watching a different game from everyone else, and it may be a me problem, but that's why I spend so much time grabbing film for later use

Dammit. Quick is a nightmare and I wish we were playing him.

BC is a beaut but it is all the way down. Some of the nicest scenery I’ve seen is through the Oregon coast. So get out to BC and experience some of that but while your here try and drive stateside down the coast as well. Its all beautiful.

I've been to Cali between Palm Springs to Sacramento and yes there is some nice scenery but, not real impressed with the area as a whole. Would love to start at the Redwoods and head north. I've been in most states and prefer the driving method so as to be able to stop and see whatever you want. Over the years I've been to many historical sites and sight-seeing places. Quite a variety, just to mention a few....Mammoth Caves, Merrimac Caverns, Henry Ford Museum, Kellogg's plant, Schlitz Brewery, Gettysburg and other Civil War sites, Stephen Fosters home, Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, drove most of old Route 66, Empire State Bldg, World Trade Center, Statue of Liberty, Arcosanti, etc.

Also been to Mexico and some Eastern Canada(mostly in Ontario). Fishing in Georgian Bay and throughout Ontario along with some sight-seeing in Ottawa and TO.

Not as wordly as @Wyldnwoody44 but ...still means a lot to me.

Hey man, I'm just a crazy person with these trips ??I don't think I even know anyone with the absolute ADHD I possess that allows me to torture my body between time zones as I have.

There is so much world to see!
