The Kassian suspension was bullsh*t.  Should have been rest of the regular season if not the year/indefinite. The argument that there was no injury is always a flawed one imo. Do we really have to wait for a serious injury? Kicking with your skate, under any circumstances, even if it wasn't full force, is simply unacceptable.

The NHL disciplinary system is run by neaderthals.  Most of whom have been punched in the head more than A whack a mole with your bosses face on it. You didn't expect these cromagnons to come close to the right punishment?  A season should be mandatory. In the rule book. Kicking an opponent, intentionally, with the blade of your skate should be an automatic season suspension.  Not the remaining season but 82 games.

The argument is that the PA exists and such a suspension would never stand. It’s not worth the effort to the league to try it.

After viewing all the replies on twitter it was the only reaction I could have.

Stay off Twitter, it’s bad for you.

Also:  How dumb is it for Carcillo to be talking crap about someone who has that kind of dirt on him?

If Carcillo wants to stick with the high ground theme against the NHL in how it is their fault for not protecting players then he needs to also NOT tweet stupid stuff like this.

But.. Dan Carcillo. Just continuing being the drama king as he was when he played.

How hard is this for people who ask "Why does Carcillo behave like a guy who isn't in his right mind" to realize: it's because he ISN'T in his right mind? The guy is clearly brain damaged and reminds me of when Roddy Piper would try to speak out on guys dropping dead in wrestling and how things need to change but he was so insane he was unable to effectively do so without making himself look completely nuts and basically undermining what he was trying to say.

Yes, he clearly has mental health issues as a result of playing hockey.  That is not in question.  He should not be chiming in on situations like this. Simply because people will bring up incidents from his past, prior to his current mental health state, that are not explained away so easily.

Carcillo was always about the drama. He played it up on the ice when he played. I'm not going to dismiss his drama now because of it.  It would be different if he had always been a nice guy and now was suddenly acting completely different.  In this case, he's acting in line with how he's acted in the past.  Perhaps he's always had mental health issues, but that won't change that he should just be quiet.
