Stephen Colbert just won late night.  During his monologue he mentioned the emergency goalie story, staggered a bit, said, "OMG I just pulled my hamstring.  I can't finish the monologue!!"  And David Ayers appeared from backstage and finished Colbert's monologue.  AWESOME!

Love that show.  Ayers is certainly getting his 15 minutes of fame.

Very well I might add too. Speaks nicely to Botterill's eye for defensemen and Kruger's coaching, as well as Smith's. If we get some freaking scoring and a goalie we'll be real dangerous

No we need more defenders. We need to draft at least 4 more in this draft. Can't have enough defense depth.

And not just the defensemen, but the defencewomen and the defencechilrdren, too.

The other important thing is that the forwards a supporting better in our zone. There are still breakdowns and missed assignments (every team has them each game), but they're much fewer in comparison to last year. Eichel is becoming (not great, but) responsible in our end.

And Risto/other D aren't wandering out to the blue line on a cycle as much this year.

It would be nice to get our team save% up to .915 for next season. Then we'd be looking very solid.

If you want a better save% I know a zamboni driver.  So good he’s undefeated.
