Miller over Barrasso,… interesting.

If I had to bet these were the guys that were the best for their team...that they could get the rights to use.

I would like EA to offer just a bit more cash to at least make it interesting. It's not like sports games are exactly cash-strapped.

But more to the point for me --- EA should be offering up the best teams of every franchise per decade. It's not like they can't import/push billions of players out to the gamers. And... I want the entire French Connection, or the entire Russian Five circa '96 (pre-Buffalo-Kovlov), or the entire '99 roster with Hasek at 99 rating. Then, you can mix-and-match across eras as well. But the team would be the thing to have. And 1999 Michael Peca is no 80-rated skater. C'mon!

From watching them play that’s an easy one for me. Statistically, it’s pretty close.

NHL scoring rank over their first 4 seasons:

Eichel: 59, 54, 56,  24

Turgeon: 143, 20, 7, 27

Eichel missed about 1/4 of season 2 and 3 while Turgeon was healthy.Projecting his PPG over a full season would have put him in the 20s each year.

Eichel over Turgeon as well.  I'm not sure that is justified.

Then why no Ryan Miller or an edited Winter Classic jersey?

Plus why use Housley's picture from his Calgary days?

It makes 0 sense

Miller might be because he’s active with another team. I would guess Housley was in the game the year before with the flames picture and they simply rolled everything over that they could.

Kinda like EA does with the gameplay every year.

The game is going to be MUCH better this year...but this is such a swing and a miss for the Sabres alumni.

I find it surprising how many of these lists are neglecting Geoff Sanderson. It’s a travesty when greatness isn’t appreciated.

Wanna feel old? His kid is draft-eligible next summer and expected to be a first round pick.

Good list but Luce is missing.  I would argue he did more as a Sabres than Hawerchuck.  Same with Vanek

Hajt over Zhitnik, and Campbell.

To say Dahlin after one season is a Sabre all time great is way to early.  It’s like TBN putting Myers on the 50 greatest Sabres a few years back.  Also Soupy would have made the list had he stayed here  longer, but his impact was less then Doug Bodger.

Bodger seems like a forgotten man here, but other then Housley he was our best puck moving and scoring D.

I also don’t think Korab gets enough love.  Compare his numbers to Schoenfelds.

I agree on Hajt.  After Ramsey, he was our best pure shutdown D.

Housley Ramsey

Bodger Hajt

Zhitnik Schoenfeld

A bit early for Dahlin.  Hajt!

Hottake: Dahlin will have the highest scoring season ever by a true defenceman this year.

(Remember Early Housley played a lot of Centre)

I'm not as familiar with those years, which ones did Housley play C in? His last season in Buffalo was his most productive statistically.
