If 1 way, the Amerks are likely on pace to have the highest salary since the last CBA went into effect which kept teams from fully burying bad NHL contracts in the A. It would seem that this would be a way for the deep pocketed squads to distance themselves from those run by the Donner's of the AHL. His qualifying offer would have been for more money than this, but could be a two-way deal, right? Who is Botterill again? Botterman is the GM of a team of players that are too old to be AHL players, but not good enough to make an average NHL roster.
