He’s not shooting. He’s holding a straight blades stick at the top with his right hand. Typically that isn’t where his right hand would be, but it isn’t an action pose. Sometimes he needs to "dumb down" his game for the sake of his teammates. He seems stunned that players are not there when he makes a crazy good pass. I also concede to some of it being optics as its only a matter of a few points, but a 70-something point season for Jack in the first year of his new deal would leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.
