The WNY media community and in particular sports media community is TINY and it very much has a pleasant, go along to get along mentality.   Harrington never bought into that and conducts himself like an annoying, confrontational big city guy.

He's unpopular in WNY as a result.  None of that bothers me; I'm not the one dealing with him.

Friedman also described the WNY media as a tough bunch. I’m not sure that’s as true with Gleason and Sullivan gone, but Graham, Wawrow and Schopp to name three certainly aren’t pleasant, get-along types.

Why is Wawrow on your list?

This is the good start Phil will cite in his postgame presser.

Warrow is a sharp guy.  Pretty reasonable.

I think he’s a good journalist, but he is also sharp in the other sense: he won’t shy away from tough questions or stories.

The original implication was that our media except Harrington was soft.

That's a lot of white space behind the Sabres' D.

Reinhart and Pilut too.

I guess our three best PK D are hurt as is ERod. And Sobotka was in the box.

Oloffson has got game.  The guy is extremely noticeable and involved.  He could be the gem we’ve been waiting for.

Which means he needs to get back to Rochester ASAP.

Extended Time with this team, with the current mentality, cannot be good for Olofsson, Nylander or Borgen who have all been part of a winning team all year.
