The Sabres are going to finish 3-3-1 on their crucial homestand.

I think they've leveled out a bit from their recent slide, which is good to see. But a .500 points % team is, I think, about what these guys are. With the anomaly of the streak, we finish around 90 points.

To me an 82 point team is about representative of who they are.

We are back to where we were after the 15/16 season. (81 points)

Totally agree... since January I figured 80-84 points.. which in the scheme of things is a huge improvement.  I just don’t like getting outworked.

  Totally different team than 2015-16.

So depressing... we could’ve been in such a better position.

I don't think it's going to look too different in the standings.

There is plenty of differing context, but a fair bit of similarity, too.

Both the 15/16 team and this year's team were coming off last place finishes the year before, too.

We are definitely not making the playoffs.  We can’t win 2 In a row in over two months.  We are not magically going on a run.  What I want to see is smarter defensive play, better power play, and consistent effort the rest of the year.  I think it’s time to start auditioning some of the kids as well.

Well, Murray took them down from their finish in '16, and now Botterill has them back up to where they were before that fall. Now we gotta see if he can get things moving continually up.

Get tired of giving so much credit to opposing goaltenders. Could it be our lack of scorers?  Hopefully we can add scoring in the off season along with upgrades on defense. It's

I think that auditioning starts the day after the deadline.
