If by some chance they were interested in him, I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in the Fedun trade where they wouldn't bother with a claim.

Remi Elie:  The player to be named later.

Future considerations that were actually past considerations.  We're caught in a loop.

He's got 3 goals and 5 points in 7 games with the Merks. Remi Elie = AHL scoring machine.

It goes to show just how much of a jump the NHL is.  It's why I have no hope for Nylander at this point.

He had a great game this afternoon. Works his ass off. He’ll end up back in the NHL at some point.

I think it’s a little more complicated than that. It’s different, I’ll give you that. A young developing guy like Nylander gets tossed in with some of these bitter, no-good ex-NHLers, or worse, the guys that never really had the chance to play there. It’s really brutal to watch sometimes. It’s good development though.

I also think the Charlotte Checkers would thump a good many  NHL clubs if they were to play tomorrow.

Maybe the NHL should do a little Euro style relegation.  (Yeah, I realize this would probably mean the Sabres would be an AHL team by now.)
