Game starts at 7:00 PM on MSG-B. The Sabres are 9th in the east with 54 points, four behind 8th. Dropping two out three on the recent western road trip capped a poor showing post 10 game winning streak. Although more than half of the regular season games have been played, let’s hope the Sabres set the tone for the back end of the season. By tone I mean positive playoff push. The Blue Jackets sit at 6th in the east with 59 points. They are 14-9-2 at home while the Sabres are 10-12-3 away. They possess +8 goal differential to the Sabres’ -4. Expect the Blue Jackets to come out hard in the first home game of the back end. That starts tonight. MUST Win! I hope we can get some secondary scoring going. Interesting to see eRod with Sheary and Mitts. Maybe he can get them going by shaming them with his effort.. Hopefully everyone who was banged up is feeling much better. I want Ullmark but I suspect we'll see Hutton tonight and then Ullmark against Dallas tomorrow night. Will be interesting to see if Housley's power play tinkering works. My first guess is that it wont because I don't agree with the player selections. But we'll see. Now, we must not take these guys lightly, but they are very much beatable. I am hopeful of a full 60 minutes (+) of hard effort by the Sabres and I think they will give that.
