Possession is great, but Sheary an Sobotka haven't scored since Thanksgiving.  You can't waste Reinhart on these two slugs when you're two goals down fighting for playoff position.

The problem with this Eichel/Skinner/Thompson are getting absolutely dominated this game, the line has a CF of 25%. They are not generating any offense at all. Placing him on the same line as those other two is going to neutralize all three for the reminder of the game.

Moving Mittelstadt up with Reinhart should have been the move

Eichel is clearly not himself today.

They've really struggled to overcome Carolina's forechecking tonight. There hasn't been much room to move. Another game where you really need the PP to come up big but we still have no idea how to do those.

Carolina has been the better team. Faster, more hits, tenacious play ... yes they had some major puck luck but they have slowed us down and kept us frustrated.

After the Sabres won 10 straight games, did the rest of the league's coaches "figure out" the Sabres? Does Phil and staff have a response?

I agree that the Tage experiment was getting the first line caved in, but try another forward instead of going back to familiarity

I don't think there was anything to figure out. They really weren't even that good during the streak.

That said, I think there is something to questioning the coaching.
