My second GDT.

I think they won the other one I started.  Maybe not, though, it was in the ####### #### era.

If someone could post some details about TV, but it will be on the radio.

Lineups?

MUST WIN!!

It will be another good test.  I think it was NB that noted that Crosby is likely out.

I predict a big win.

GO SABRES!!

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Derick Brassard returned to the ice Saturday for the first time in nearly a month.

Brassard was in the lineup to face his former team, the Ottawa Senators, after missing the past nine games with a lower-body injury.

Pittsburgh lost 6-4.

Brassard has five points in nine games this season -- his first full year in Pittsburgh. The Penguins acquired Brassard from the Senators last season as part of a three-team deal that also involved the Vegas Golden Knights. Saturday's game was Brassard's first in Ottawa since the trade.

The injury news wasn't all positive for Pittsburgh on Saturday, as star Sidney Crosby missed his second straight game with an upper-body injury.

Crosby is considered day-to-day but is expected to miss a week with the injury that coach John Sullivan said is not a concussion.

Pittsburgh is on a 3 game losing streak and 2-7-1 in their last 10,  while the Sabres are on a 5 game winning streak and 6-2-2 in their last 10.

This is a game we should be taking advantage of. The last few games we've been on our heels and starting slow. While I love that the team never gives up and has been finding ways to come back/win I'd like to see us come out dominant, take the lead and hold it for the whole game.

Incidentally, it's crazy to me that the Sabres have won 5 straight after winning a TOTAL of only 3 games in all of November last year.

Let's Go Buf-fa-lo!

I peeked at our basic advanced metrics. We’re hovering around 20th in the league on Corsi/Fenwick.

Our PDO’s pretty high - top 10, iirc.

So, we’re a developing team that’s had some good luck of late, yeah?

I mean, I’m good with that. I just want to have a fair understanding of who and what the team is.

I thought there was a GDT template with logos, lineups, narration, and rules. Well this season has been crazy so far so why not.

I don't think there is a template, but JSB uses that format.

And sometimes we even use it.  But not always.

What?

Don't worry about it.  It's all good.

You know the old saying:  "I'd rather be lucky than good."  ?

Is there a template someplace?  I thought JSB uses that format, but not anyone else.  Well, you use a similar format.  Feel free to do something up and post it in here ... I hope that doesn't sound pissy.

I agree that Hutton will be in net tonight

Not to be a Richard, but how is Hutton 2-0 against the Pens with 2 shutouts and not have a perfect save %?  He must have relieved someone?

Any who... Sabres are rolling and the Pens are reeling, let's crush their souls.

This is a must win in my book.  We have to beat the teams that we should beat.

Go Sabres!

My understanding is that he relieved Johnson, but didn't enjoy it.

I've no problem with them winning tonight.  I might even enjoy it.

Errrrrr

Go Sabres.  Amazingly enough this is one of those games where the Sabres have been the Penguins over the past few years.  Bottom of the basement, playing a top team. Time to collect on all those losses... gotta win this game.
