He probably could not have a better HC than Phil Housley, considering he was a phenom Wunderkind puck moving, goal scoring, offense generating defenseman himself. If anyone should be able to keep an eye on Dahlin and manage his ice time/assignments correctly, you would think it would be Housley. Easier opposition until he really gets comfortable (getting there but his game has another few notches to go yet) then start increasing the workload. From the second period on last night when he really turned on the offense, he had few if any turnovers in the D zone. Even as Phil said, "He made some incredible plays. They have to grow, get stronger, learn both sides of the game. If you look at all the enduring D stars, lots of them had up and down starts in their early years. Dahlin is right where he should be. If we are lucky, next season he is on the second pairing along with more PP time and the year after that maybe first pairing. They are doing it right this time.
