A very solemn day here in Canada.

The annual events were even more special.

It is sunset here in Halifax and the bells are ringing.  It is really something to here.

Time to pray ...

Quote

Mrs Merkel became the first German leader since World War Two to visit the forest near the town of Compiègne in northern France where the Armistice was signed. She and Mr Macron unveiled a plaque to Franco-German reconciliation, laid a wreath and signed a book of remembrance in a replica railway carriage.

This is great. What would the people of Germany and France said 100 years ago if they could have looked into the future and seen this? Or 104 years ago before that's insane war took place.

Time to pray ...

Our bells rang at 11am here on Sunday.

Every 5 seconds for 11 times.

And we did pray, in silence, but was also lead in prayer by our Church's Priest.

I live a few blocks from this memorial.

I would be there just to see how the sun interacts with the monument leading up to the day and time, at the exact moment, and for a few days after. I think that *stuff* is cool. I also like to find the International Space Station.

That is very nice.

And, just to be clear I prayed my normal / everyday sunset prayers yesterday, as I do everyday.  Those prayers are not silent.  I did say some extra prayers especially for Remebrance Day, as well, which are always silent.
