But for my money, I think I'll take a good civil rights attorney any day over a soldier to protect my freedom. Pretty sure they do way more to make sure I am free. I've no great love for what the military represents, but how long do you suppose your civil rights attorney would last if there wasn't a soldier keeping another country from shooting him? If you eliminated the military the US would cease to exist within 30 days. Thankfully in most cases it's just making sure they exist that protects us.
