Olafsson, CJ Smith and Wayne Simpson (who) score their Shootout chances. For those wondering Simpson is the oldest player I've seen coming into the A at 25 out of College. If kid could ever learn his edge transfer his athletic ability would be something. Needs to hook up with Skinner in off season. Most will stay there barring injuries and if the Sabres come to their senses and send Mittlestat and Thompson down, they should adequately fill whomever is called up. Mittlestadt and Thompson should probably go down. Especially if this season starts sinking as it already has. Give it a year and replace 4-5 spots in the line up with the kids next year. If Rochester turns elite, it's a matter of time until we get good. I said the same thing back in the early 2000's when the Amerks were good and produced a lot of starters off that team. I thought for sure the Marlies were going to score in that OT a couple of times. Glad to see the strong SO performance. Even more glad they won. He is getting opportunities and seems more snake bit then unproductive. Watching him it feels like all those posts he is hitting will soon start going in.
