I don't know about "better acting than any American crap" or what that's even supposed to mean, but Peaky Blinders is very good. If you like it, you might also like Lilyhammer, also on Netflix, which is half American crap and half Norwegian crap. Another series where you're rooting for the gangster. Not really "American crap"............. it's just nice to see great acting from actors we're not used to seeing. I'm over seeing guys like Tom Hanks, Will Ferrell, Jack Black, etc.......
