The Sabres begin their stretch without Evander Kane on Tuesday night when they visit the Flyers in Philly. Coming off of consecutive losses, the Sabres look to bounce back and start getting into a groove; at the very least we intend to beat these ass-hats. With Kane out, look for Eichel's line to dominate tonight.

Look for Chad Johnson to get the start tonight and rebound from a terrible Montreal performance, and with Neuvirth suffering a recent injury, look for Steve Mason (2-2-1, 3.32 GAA, .899%) to start

Eich and Samson on the same line?  Yes, please.

I think I'd rather see Zemgus in place of Larsson though.  Larsson isn't as bad as some of the recent comments though.  I hope he makes the best of his time on the Jack to the Future line.

Didn't last long game 1. Hopefully this attempt goes better. Would like to see a finisher w/ those 2. Cough, cough, Moulson.

The absolute abhorrence w/ playing Moulson on Jack's wing makes almost as much sense as forcing Jack & Evander together.

I kind of like those lines. D-lo on the top? Can't say he hasn't earned a look there for all of the experimenting going on.

I would prefer he and Larson swap, just to keep the kiddies safe, but Eichel did flash a little grit last game.

Or, I would like to see Foligno with Jack and Samson. He has upped his game and is worth a look there.

One of the few franchises I still detest. And yeah: We're dating ourselves.

It's that hate that makes this one of my favourite Sabre goals of all time.

What could have been... sigh.

The 8-0 win at home to oust the Flyers in 01 was, uh, enjoyable.

Crummy video and no Rick, but this should still give your naughty bits a tingle.

Well, this snuck up on me. I usually plan to watch the Flyers games with a couple local friends (or even go to a game or two) but I'm not sure I can swing it tonight. I think I need to get the proxy stuff set up pretty quick so I can queue up GCL without the local blackout.

He really could float like a butterfly, innit?

We didn't get nearly enough, but we'll always have 2005-06, and especially 7-6.

As for an enjoyable win vs Philly:  let's not forget the one that produced Hitch's walking papers:

If we're going to remember Filly games:

"Robert Esche has lost it.  He has lost it.  He's down four-nothing and he's blown his cool.  He's flipped his lid!"

I'm going to look for the video now.

Here it is.  I remembered every word correctly.  That's the power of RJ.
