Current Carrion Hockey League Standings

I'm excited that we managed to win this thing without getting any worse than last year (better in fact).

Arizona drop more than 30 points. That's one hell of a tank.

We improved, and finished with an honest effort.

The hockey gods will smile on that.

Sure, why not?

Just 1 question: wtf is that raven picking at? A decomposing turtle?

Cool.

It's not a raven.  It's a crow.  We grow them extra big in NS.

He is a member of our crow family that have nested in our yard for generations.  This winter has been particularly harsh.  They are trying to nest now and there is very little construction material, or food, around.

He is eating a piece of raw lamb we had given them.

Yes.  We spoil our wildlife, but they are part of the family.

I agree - couldn't have ended better. The team played with integrity, improved at the end but still retained 30th place. The front office only made prudent moves for the future (assuming Kane grows up in Buffalo). Now we can move on. No matter what kind of fan you were this year I think it was understandable and we can all move on together!

Assuming he didn't die along the way, Sicknfla owes the charity of my choosing $50, and as soon as Nolan is fired, D4rk owes $20. I tried to get Tank into an avatar bet during one of this (many :p ) breakdowns down the stretch, but he didn't bite. Shame really, I was very much looking forward to chicken little talking hockey :D

Edmonton     CLINCHED   3RD  PLACE  11.5

Carolina     CLINCHED   5TH  PLACE   8.5

New Jersey   CLINCHED   6TH  PLACE   7.5

Philadelphia CLINCHED   7TH  PLACE   6.5

Colorado     81    88    28   8-10   6.0

Columbus     82    89    33    8-9   5.0

Dallas       CLINCHED   12TH PLACE   3.0

Los Angeles  CLINCHED   13TH PLACE   2.0

Bolded teams have clinched that position in the lottery.

Shouldn't that be CLENCHED for all but 1st?

Thanks again to X for the idea of the Carrion and to Tank for helping w/ updates. Also, thanks to those who "got it" about this thread.

And w/ that, we'll let 11 have the last words. I'll bump the CHL AS thread for us to have somewhere to figure out the award earners.
