Heading to Brazil in 2 weeks ? round trip flights are dirt cheap right now, and there are no restrictions. Very excited!

The northernmost part of Brazil is closer to Canada than it is to the southernmost part of Brazil.

I read it in a tweet. It must be true.

It's a huge country, I'm gonna hit Rio, Igazu falls, Brasilia and hope to get to the Amazon and hike around for a couple of days. Nothing planned out yet, just my kelty and me and we'll see what happens lol.

Uuuummm ... maybe 'cus COVID is running wild and not running on empty in Brazil.

When I say I don't follow the news or almost any current events, I'm dead serious... I just Googled Brazil and didn't know if was the #2 Covid country. Cases are no falling and I have 2 weeks to wait before I go, so I'll be good ?

Got pulled over doing just a shade under 100 in a 55 at 2am. The cop looks in the car, sees my jacket hanging neatly in the back seat, my shirt and tie are in place. My lunch is on the passenger seat and my tea is steaming in the cup holder. He couldn't fling my licence back at me fast enough. He was at my window for less than 15 seconds. Off to catch a drunk leaving the bar.

And I made it to work on time!

Don't speed, kids.

Nothing special. I think he probably clocked me as I was just slowing down to exit. But I was definitely still over 80. I'm just positive that he was looking to bag a drunk at closing time and didn't want to waste his time with a plain old speeding ticket.

Salvador Brazil, it's absolutley stunning, the people in this country are the friendliest I have met in a looooonggg time! Also, had a long layover at JFK on the way in, took the train to Manhattan for a bit, look at Times Square.... Dead. I've never seen NYC like this in my entire existence.

I've been loving Rio, such a unique and beautiful city!! Staying on the 20th floor overlooking Lagoa in between Ipanema and Cococabana. Went to Sugarloaf mountain and fed the Marmosets without other tourists in sight. I've eaten so much Brazilian Churrascaria I may explode! I wouldn't hesitate to come back to Brazil again, especially with how strong the dollar is compared to the Reias.

Not sure this should be following a @Wyldnwoody44 travel post,  but I recently discovered these beauties.

The heartbeat sauces (from Thunder Bay) are majestic. Hot and flavorful.  The Secret Aardvark is a nice tomatoey hot sauce. Love them.

I love hot sauces, and anything can follow my posts 🙂 I found an awesome Brazilian hot sauce down here, the owner of the apartment gave me a bottle as a gift but stupid airport security kept me from bringing it because it was something like 5ml over. I only packed my Kelty so no checked bags.

Today was great, I met my friends in Sao Paolo after taking a helicopter over Igazu falls in the morning. They are amazing guys, been married for some time and I met them in Peru a few years ago. Erich even proposed to me in public 😂😂😂. Had some traditional food here and it was splendid. Heading home soon, but I would urge anyone who was on the fence about Brazil to visit, an amazing culture!
