Oh, sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started from this tropic port aboard this tiny ship

The mate was a mighty sailin' man, the skipper brave and sure.. Five passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour.. a three hour tour...

lightning crack

The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed, if not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost.. the Minnow would be lost.

The ship set ground on a shore of this unhartered desert isle.. With Gilligan.. the Skipper too.. the millionaire and his wife... a movie star.. the professor and Mary Ann.. All on Gilligan's Isle..

I've got plenty more where that came from..

Oh I know Children of Bodom alright, mainly because I had a buddy who was obsessed with them. Honestly, I'm not too into the whole gutteral growling metal, but instrumentally the stuff is good. I'm a big fan of epic metal, unless the lyrics are about dwarfs and enchanted forests n sh*t.

also, been stuck in my head because of an inside joke.

Not exactly what I had in mind. I was thinking that they would be as hardcore as

.

Believe it or not, there are times when I get in the mood to listen to stuff like this in order to wake up. Throw in a little CC to boot as well.

This seems as good a place as any to post this. We just released Echo Chamber, my wife's second album and I'm hoping that some of these songs get stuck in people's heads.

This is blatant hawking off my wares. Please remove if inappropriate

I'd completely forgotten about this thread. I never thought anyone would bump it.

And now that it's back I may a well use it. That stupid kesha song is driving me insane. I was going to post this in "that other thread you can post in on certain days but has gone missing for a while" where Ink already posted about this song.

Is it me or does she sound just like the voice of Paris Hilton in the South Park episode titled Stupid Spoiled ######

I like to think of some Cannibal Corpse (S, R, & S; Coffinfeeder, Make Them Suffer) and Dying Fetus (One Shot, One Kill; Homicidal Retribution) songs while I play World of Warcraft.

I'm posting from my iPhone so I can't use emoticons but the Ryan Miller smiley would be appropriate.

 you lost me on that one. What did that have to do with songs we can't get out of our heads?

Something about an outwardly Christian individual listening to Cannibal Corpse and Dying Fetus leaves me a little...well... .

Most of my extended family is Christian. Not just your church going types, but your real hardcore, home schooling, Missionaries in foreign countries, not have sex until were married types. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, they have never listened to songs named Coffinfeeder or Homicidal Retribution.

I know you're scratching your head over this one.

I grew up listening to metal - but not all of it. (Some of it left much to be desired IMO, i.e. Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi.) It's one of those things that I cannot get rid of. At the same time, I don't think it will send me to hell (just like I think that Christians who can't quit smoking don't go to hell either, but that's getting off topic) - even though there are some out there who would vehemently disagree with me.

In context, though, what I said is that I listen to that kind of stuff when I play World of Warcraft.
