  1. Yoooouuurrrrrr Buffalo Sabres will head on down to Washington D.C. tonight to take on the Capitals in a meeting of familiar foes. The Sabres will look to bounce back from a 2-0 shut-out loss at the hands of the Capitals in Buffalo on Monday night, one in which the Sabres became familiar with Holtby's future Vezina and the best Russian goal-scorer of all time in Alexander Ovechkin. Despite this, the Sabres played a very solid game. Linus Ullmark stood tall, only letting in 2 goals (one of which was a fluke shot of the backboards) and another in which Risto blew his assignment on Ovechkin of all people. The pp needs to start clicking however, as they have been not only blank for the last 6 games, but also have been completely listless as well. The Capitals on the other hand, are the hottest and best team in the league right now (feels like I type this a lot whenever we play someone). Washington rides high on a current 8 game win streak, and now leads their division by 9 points (56 overall, Isles have 47). The Caps also lead the league in GA, and are 1 point behind Dallas for the Presidents trophy. Yet we all saw them play against Buffalo, and a game that could have easily went either way. Tuesday's practice saw the return of Robin Lehner. I can't find the lines, but I'll just go with last games. The twitter feed says "All at practice", not sure if that includes Pysyk or not. Look for Holtby to start again, and...Ullmark? Johnson in net (per Brawndo) Game Preview STATS: All Stats Washington @ Buffalo, 1st meeting; 2-0 loss (The possession numbers are in Buffalo's favor, we played well) All Team Rankings Team Comparison Chart Tuesday Practice Report Buffalo: Forwards: 88 Jamie McGinn – 90 Ryan O’Reilly – 23 Sam Reinhart 28 Zemgus Girgensons – 15 Jack Eichel – 12 Brian Gionta 9 Evander Kane – 22 Johan Larsson – 63 Tyler Ennis 44 Nicolas Deslauriers – 17 David Legwand – 82 Marcus Foligno Defense: 4 Josh Gorges – 55 Rasmus Ristolainen 25 Carlo Colaiacovo – 47 Zach Bogosian 6 Mike Weber – 46 Cody Franson Johnsons: 31 Chad Johnson 35 Linus Ullmark 40 Robin Lehner Washington: Forwards: Alex Ovechkin - Nicklas Backstrom - T.J. 2. So, ya wanna play with the big boys, eh? Wanna toss'em around with the best of the best, take their wives and have their rings? Well, you gotta prove you can do it first. That's exactly what the Buffalo Sabres will look to do on a Saturday matinee (it rhymes if you say it aloud) as they host the Chicago Blackhawks in a match-up of establishment vs up and coming. The Sabres, coming off a 3-0 shutout win against the Ducks, will look to keep the momentum going and end strong as they go into a week long break. Get your fix now folks, cause after this, we have a week of SS fights, the Kane thread and Politics. Jamie McGinn has looked strong over the last 6 games, and Tyler Ennis is expected to make an appearance after 15 games absent We all know who's at the other end of the ice. Hell, we've tried our best to copy their entire model. They're basically our older brother, the one that makes captain and dates the prom queen while we're over here looking at pictures of her wondering if it will ever happen. These guys have done it all, and are looking to prove it again. After jettising Saad and Oduya, the Hawks haven't lost a beat as Kane's 26 point streak and the play of Panarin have the Hawks on the brink of a dynasty Given Johnson's absurd start last time around and Crawford being the only Hawks goalie I can name this many deep, we're going with those two. Ennis is back by the way, so we'll get to see the impact he has on the Eichel line. Kruger is out for the year Game Preview STATS: All Team Rankings Team Comparison Chart Friday's Practice Report Forwards: 88 Jamie McGinn – 90 Ryan O'Reilly – 23 Sam Reinhart 9 Evander Kane – 15 Jack Eichel – 63 Tyler Ennis 28 Zemgus Girgensons – 22 Johan Larsson – 12 Brian Gionta 44 Nicolas Deslauriers – 17 David Legwand – 26 Matt Moulson 82 Marcus Foligno – 19 Cal O'Reilly Defense: 4 Josh Gorges – 55 Rasmus Ristolainen (Maintenance Day) 29 Jake McCabe – 47 Zach Bogosian 6 Mike Weber – 46 Cody Franson Johnsons: 31 Chad Johnson 35 Linus Ullmark Kind of amazed Cal sits after that dish he had last night. Honestly, he should get the start over Matty Mou
  3. Yooouuuuuurrrrrr Buffalo Sabres will play host to a set of mallards on Thursday night as the Anaheim Ducks will waddle into town; I say waddle because as the worst scoring team in the league and the worst team in the West, the Ducks should call the Foo Fighters up and Learn to Fly. The Sabres, coming off a 2-0 shutout loss at home to the hands of hockey's most boring team in this entire century, will look to return the favor against a listless Ducks team. Buffalo will look to put together a solid winning streak before going on a week long break after Saturday's game, and beating the ###### out of Donald Duck is the perfect way to do it. And Matty Mou is gonna score The Ducks are, well, terrible, to say the least. For a team many here and abroad has as Cup champions, or at the very least, a playoff team, being the worst team in the West is frustrating to say the least. Not only are the Ducks the worst scoring team in the league, nearly 20 goals less than the Sabres, but their stars have just vanished. Perry is having a decent year (10-9-19), but Getlzaf, at the ripe ol' age of 30 now, has 1, ONE, goal all year (1-16-17). How does that even happen? Kesler is having a year too, going 3-8-11. When your big boys don't play, everybody loses. The Ducks are all fine and set in the health department. The Sabres are still missing Pysyk and Ennis (day-to-day upgrade for Tyler), and Foligno is day-to-day as well. Look for Anderson Gibson and.....Johnson? Yeah, Johnson. He'll start Game Preview STATS: All Team Rankings Team Comparison Chart Wednesday's Practice Report... With the loss and offense sputtering, lineup changes will be likely, I will update tomorrow morning Forwards: 88 Jamie McGinn – 90 Ryan O’Reilly – 23 Sam Reinhart 9 Evander Kane – 15 Jack Eichel – 26 Matt Moulson 28 Zemgus Girgensons – 22 Johan Larsson – 12 Brian Gionta 17 David Legwand - 19 Cal O’Reilly – 44 Nicolas Deslauriers Defense: 4 Josh Gorges – 55 Rasmus Ristolainen 29 Jake McCabe– 47 Zach Bogosian 6 Mike Weber – 46 Cody Franson Not Lehners: 31 Chad Johnson 35 Linus Ullmark Searching Donald Duck funny on google gives you some interesting insight on Disney, that's for sure
