  1. Seems appropriate given Sabres state of affairs. I am a Scheffler fan.
  2. Hi, all. I live in "West Amherst". The health of my niece, my wife, and myself have all gone downhill recently. In my case, the statins and the inactivity due to long COVID caused many of my muscles to atrophy. Because of this, we can not keep up with the needs of the dogs: the adults because they are too quick and the puppies by sheer numbers. They are: Sally, 3yrs, Newfie-poodle mix. Jack, 1yr, Australian heeler. 6 puppies of theirs In particular, we need someone who can train dogs well to take Jack. He is way beyond my strength and very aggressive. Most of the time, Jack and Sally are very amiable and well-behaved; indeed, usually they sleep with me. But they do things like take open peanut butter jars off of tables and chase so vigorously that they knock over furniture. I love them very much, but Jack and Sally getting out into the street earlier and almost getting hit was too much. Please feel free to PM me if you know any interested parties. Thank you very much.
  3. So I'm tuned into the the game today.... virtual side board ads for La Nova.... Hah... billions of wings sold.... Hah.... no offense to them, I'm Irish and I embellish... but really!.... no offense to those who may be offensed.... but c'mon... The Irish own embellishment....🤣
  4. It's getting ridiculous. Let them die on their own if they're so terrible.
  5. Sorry if this is the wrong section to post in, I'm not sure. Does anyone have experience buying from here (sportsk.com) ? They seem to be legit based off what I can see, and they're selling Adidas primegreens for 125 bucks (og is 180) so that seems like a good deal, but that makes me also kind of doubt it cause how and why would they do that. Thank you!
  6. The consulting firm that I work for is doing a big round of IT layoffs. I am worried because I have been on the bench a while. I am lucky that I can work anywhere in the entire tech stack, so AI might survive this round.
  7. You all know I post memes in the Game Day Threads for when players score goals and when other things happen- big goalie saves, coach things, yeah. I came across some of my old meme pics and thought I'll give them one last showing before leaving them behind forever. First up is a Ralph Krueger meme. It speaks to my belief that I always thought he was kind of a shyster or con-man, or at the very least one of those proclaimed self-help gurus that coaches people how to (impossibly) pull themselves up by their own bootstraps. So I turned him into one of those clickbate ads. The meme:
  8. This exchange got me to thinking: doubtful Who's the geezerest person on Sabrespace? If you want to play along, post your age. I know for sure I'm not the oldest guy around here; I'm 61.
  9. This thread is primarily for the Buffalo diaspora, or possibly some of the younger people who missed out on things because they weren't aware yet. What are things associated with Buffalo that you missed out on? I'm thinking of Buffalo things/traditions that I grew up in Cheektowaga, and left for college in 1980. I came home the first two summers but haven't lived there since. So there are a lot of things I missed out on. The general revitalization of Buffalo Metro Rail Canalside (I've spent an afternoon or two there, but as a tourist) KeyBank Center (never been to a game there!) Buffalo Bandits Original Pizza Logs Paula's Donu Sponge candy Chiavetta's BBQ Chicken I'm sure there are others (and I reserve the right to add to the list), but what about the rest of you? What are Buffalo things that weren't yet things when you left Buffalo, things you missed out on?
  10. Staying in the sub festive spirit, how do you like your pain?
  11. So I’ve gotten to the point of not getting any condiments on my subs for the most part. If it comes with something particular like subway uses their garlic aioli for their “great garlic” sandwich I’ll request lite sauce. Inevitably, they end up putting 5x what I prefer and I get disgruntled. Have at it.
  12. Where's the best Mexican food in Buffalo and what's your go to item? Going with Maizal on transit, east Amherst, and they have a brunch burrito that's amazing. My wife though loves their chimichangas.
  13. Uniting in the Face of Deadly Blizzards and Tragedy, Buffalo, New York, Is the Nicest Place in America https://www.rd.com/article/buffalo-nicest-places/
  14. What is a "head gasket"? Why would it break? And why does it take a dealership's service department between 10 and 14 days just to LOOK at it to see if that's the problem?
  15. Coming from Canada, we like to hit the pizza joints of Niagara Falls, NY (as it's closer than Buffalo proper). Most are hole in the wall type places that all serve good pizza and wings (esp compared to Canada). It seems everyone has their favourite. I may have mentioned before that WAY back in the day, nothing could touch Sammy's on Hyde Park Blvd. Then maybe 15 years ago the quality went down. Last weekend we tried Joey's in the LaSalle neighborhood. It was good enough to go back... But still no old school Sammy's. Any others hit the NF pizza joints? Any new faces on the scene in the Buffalo area?
  16. I know the biggest difference between the two…no MSG on YTTV. 😞 Beyond that, I would love to hear any thoughts on these two services. Even after I moved my Internet to T-Mobile, my Spectrum cable bill is $155…two boxes(one with a DVR), and thats it. No premium channels, no sports packages, not even the highest level of their basic tiers. F THEM! On a related note…how far off are we from the Sabres streaming their games(entire season or ala carte)?

  18. All the “click it or ticket” signs at thruway entrances for the holiday weekend, made me wonder how many people out there still forego seatbelts?
  19. Just wondering who the #1 baseball team is amongst the Sabrespace crew. I tried to put in the more obvious choices and left an "other" option for a write in candidate. If there's enough write in's I'll add it.
