  1. Beware the Ides of March - close enough. Yous guys and gals are all sleepy heads at the switch this AM.
  2. The Nashville Predators host the Buffalo Sabres at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday, March 7 at 8:00 PM ET. The game airs on ESPN+, BSSO, and MSG-B. Nashville fell 4-3 in overtime at home its last time out on March 5 against the Montreal Canadiens. Buffalo lost 2-1 in overtime on the road against the Toronto Maple Leafs in its most recent game on March 6. As hockey play continues, get ready for the outing with everything you need to know before Thursdayโ€™s game. https://sportsbookwire.usatoday.com/article/nashville-predators-vs-buffalo-sabres-odds-tips-and-betting-trends-2/ LAST 10 GAMES: Predators: 8-1-1, averaging 4.2 goals, 6.8 assists, 3.6 penalties and 9.2 penalty minutes while giving up 2.6 goals per game. Sabres: 6-3-1, averaging 2.8 goals, 4.3 assists, 3.1 penalties and 6.7 penalty minutes while giving up 2.3 goals per game. INJURIES: Predators: None listed. Sabres: Mattias Samuelsson: out for season (upper body), Jack Quinn: out (lower body), Erik Johnson: day to day (illness). https://www.foxsports.com/articles/nhl/predators-and-sabres-square-off-for-outofconference-matchup
  3. Another big game for Buffalo. A win today gets us to NHL .500. I feel like today is usually a home game, so itโ€™s a little weird weโ€™re on the road. Regardless, letโ€™s kick some ass.
  4. Well, here we go. Second game in two nights. Got blasted by Philly and now we face a formidable offense in Toronto. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/buffalo-sabres-game-night-at-toronto-maple-leafs-how-to-watch-players-to-watch-november-4
  5. We just beat Philly, time to Happy Goathead night! Sabres in black and red: Goathead superpowers invoked! Thursday practice lines were Greenway-Thompson-Biro Skinner-Mittelstadt-Peterka Jost-Cozens-Olofsson Girgensons-Krebs-Okposo Dahlin-Samuelsson Power-Jokiharju Clifton-Johnson Will Tuch play? Lukรกลก Rousek has been called up. Will he play on Cozens' wing? Also, will we see Oopie or Levi in goal? Tune in to find out! GO SABRES
  6. It's the second night of a back-to-back to start the playoffs. By the stats and commentary, the Crunch were the better team overall in game 1 and earned their overtime victory. It's up to the Amerks to rally and get the series even before game 3 on ... Friday? a back-to-back followed by 4 days off?... in Rochester.
  7. It's game 1 of the best-of-5 series with the Syracuse Crunch. Per Amerks.com, both teams finished the season with 81 points and split the season series 6-6 and four of the last five games went to overtime. (Obviously this means a sweep is in order.) Injury news on the Amerks side: Leading goal scorer (24) Jiri Kulich is questionable. Near point-per-game Brandon Biro is out (and 2nd in the team in points despite missing 21 games). And Brendan Warren is out. Additionally, no Sabres reinforcements were assigned to Rochester even for a day to assist in the playoffs. No outside help is on its way. Can the Amerks win 2 rounds for the first time since 2003-04? Note: Sabres AHL affiliate Portland Pirates never advanced past two rounds, either, so the same question applies.

  9. This is the last game that won't be on MSG this year. Isles are on pace for 93 points. All the Sabres have to do to match that is win 9 of 11 and one loss needs to be in OT.
  10. Yes! My first GDT! The NHL leading Big Bad Bruins are coming to town and that is likely not a good thing for the Sabres as they try and keep themselves relevant in the playoffs race. Boston Bruins (52-11-5, first in the Atlantic Division) vs. Buffalo Sabres (33-29-6, fifth in the Atlantic Division) Buffalo, New York; Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT Bruins -185, Sabres +156; over/under is 6.5 BOTTOM LINE: The Buffalo Sabres host the Boston Bruins after Victor Olofsson scored two goals in the Sabres' 5-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Buffalo is 33-29-6 overall and 10-10-1 against the Atlantic Division. The Sabres have scored 247 total goals (3.6 per game) to rank third in the league. Boston is 52-11-5 overall and 12-5-3 against the Atlantic Division. The Bruins are 15-4-4 in games their opponents serve more penalty minutes. The teams play Sunday for the fourth time this season. The Bruins won the previous matchup 3-1. TOP PERFORMERS: Jeff Skinner has 29 goals and 38 assists for the Sabres. Olofsson has three goals over the past 10 games. David Pastrnak has scored 47 goals with 44 assists for the Bruins. Dmitry Orlov has three goals and nine assists over the past 10 games. LAST 10 GAMES: Sabres: 2-6-2, averaging 2.8 goals, 4.3 assists, 2.8 penalties and 5.9 penalty minutes while giving up 4.2 goals per game. Bruins: 7-3-0, averaging 3.7 goals, 6.8 assists, 3.8 penalties and 8.2 penalty minutes while giving up 2.4 goals per game. INJURIES: Sabres: Eric Comrie: out (lower body), Mattias Samuelsson: out (upper body). Bruins: Nick Foligno: out (lower-body), Derek Forbort: day to day (lower body), Taylor Hall: out (lower body).
  11. Tage gets going again and we get goals from all 4 lines and the defense, all because *I* will be at the game. Go Sabres!
  12. Let's see what they are made of after the disaster last night. I won't blame @PromoTheRobot ... he had a good record on his weekend in Buffalo. We salute you Promo !! MUST WIN !! GO SABRES !!
  13. Have played them 3 times and have gotten demolished 3 times by a combined 17-7, including 5-1 earlier this year. Not sure exactly why they have so much trouble with that team but they need a much better showing Tuesday if they want to win. Losses were by 3,3 and 4 goals so it's not like one bad outcome caused a huge spike.
  14. Most likely no one is in the mood for this one. This game appears to be still on schedule. I think it should be postponed out of respect. My heart is not in it ...
  15. What in the blazes is going on in here ... MUST WIN !! GO SABRES !! AVENGE THAT SNOT NOSED BRAT !! +++++ This game is also on SN Now+ in Canada and on *pirate satellite ... orbiting your living room* ...
