Is there anyone who would like to see players awarded a penalty shot in an EN situation be required to actually score? That is, penalty shot on a yawning cage?
The way things worked out in this game, I'd rather have the future trivia question statistical anomaly.

You have to win 10 and a row AND then maintain at least .550 after that. The second part is far from a given.
...and the first part *is* a given???

Actually, I don’t care if anyone likes fart noises. You do you. I care that the Buffalo Bills social media is putting out immature, ridiculous posts like these. This is a multi billion dollar franchise. And this is what they are putting out there for everyone to see. It’s the best we can do? Really?
I'm willing to give the Bills social media team some leeway after they put out this masterpiece a couple years back:

It has the word man in it, but are we sure Pronman is even a human anymore or just a conglomerate machine of previous posts and rankings?
Perhaps he's just a quasi-intelligent shade of the colour blue.

At the moment NHL.com says its Thompson's goal while their own media piece talks about McLeod's hattrick
1 hour ago, LGR4GM said:They are correct. Since Thompson was the last Sabre to touch the puck, he gets credit. McLeod was slashed before he touched it.
All the Sabres reporters are reporting it.

UPL gets the first star. And McCleod gets the second star.
Officially they gave McLeod the first star, Luuk the second and Cozens the third. But I agree, Luuk turned in a first star performance.

Why do they need to go into a shell the entire 3rd period? Sure players are a bit tight but coaching has to force them to be more aggressive
When Krebs got aggressive they got the clear. Coincidence?

Supposed to be around 8 degrees for the game Sunday. Don't know about snow. Freezing.
Advantage Buffalo.

Tage almost buried that.

Since the start of the game when the Sabres were leading shots 5-1, the Canes have doubled up the number of shots the number of shots by the Sabres since. Not sustainable.

Boy are the THT commentators trying hard to make it sounds like the Sabres have been good

Didn't one of the Sabres get tripped by the blue line just before the end of the penalty? They didn't call that one...

I honestly don’t see Lafferty sticking his leg out on the replay, but I thought he did in real time action.
So did the ref.

Reviewing Adams' Off-season acquisitions at the half way mark

Interesting to see which players are at or above 50%
Dahlin & Byram, no surprise. Neither is Clifton... he's not a big scoring threat but he does have a nice stretch pass.
Zucker has been hot lately, so no surprise there. McLeod plays the game right, we all know that.
That leaves Benson and Krebs. Interesting that they both are > 50% xGF while both having only 14 points apiece and a -2 +/- rating. The really interesting thing about that is statistically they are nearly twins but everyone loves Benson while a lot of people here hate on Krebs.
Krebs made a critical play late in the Carolina game where, instead of maintaining his position, he sprinted toward the puck carrier and forced a clear when the Sabres were pinned down in their own zone. He's never gonna be a top line player but he certainly has a place on a good team and I don't think he's part of the problem.
