I like this kid already.
My first tie hearing him speak. What a likable young man. Having watched him play, I'm confident his game will be a good fit.
His smile is contagious. I found myself smiling when he did. I have a good feeling about him.

I'm only too happy to see Lucic back with the hated Bruins. I despise that guy.
Beating them will be sweeter throughout this season.

Yeah but if he were on the Sabres we'd love him. Right?

I’ll admit I was wrong when it turns out I was wrong but the next time Andrew Peters is right about anything Sabre related will be the first time.
Come on Fonzi. Say it......"I was wro, wro, wro....I was wro....I was wro.....NG!"

Selflishly, the Sabres. The Sabres and ice (and street) hockey were my first true sports love as a kid.
But that's not the choice I'd make. The Bills are so much more important to so many more people in WNY and from WNY.
Ditto - you just saved me a few key strokes.

4th not too long ago...whatever year it was that I took my dad to the HOF. I think that was around 2012.
Oh man....haven't thought about this in like forever. My dad taking me and my 3 brothers to the HOF. I was 10 (49 years ago). Luce and Gainey were there signing autographs. Good times.
Glad you brought that up.

Definitely a fluid situation, but part of me wants GMKA to take the risk while other teams may get cold feet.

Eichel might get his name on the Cup before McDavid.
My money is on Reinhart to have his name etched before Jack.

C’mon Panthers. Do it again!
in regulation this time….
Yeah - go FLA. I'm not crazy about any of the final 4 but I owe a debt of gratitude to the Panthers for beating Boston.

I think everyone knows the post-tank rebuild was mishandled. KA came in with a strategy that is largely working so far as I can tell. He could have spent more on FA and obviously it seems it would not have taken much when you miss the playoffs by one point. Since you can't prove a counter-factual, no one can know for sure.
And I don't recall many folks telling you it is a myth that FAs wouldn't sign here, though I haven't read through all the threads with close attention. That was a problem. Folks are telling you it shouldn't be a problem now, which is a different assertion.
Right here.

Mule is offensively mediocre, but he has a good shot, and like Mike Ramsey, he'll add more O over time. Don't forget he has only 109 NHL games under his belt.
However, Novikov, playing in the 2nd best league in the world, the KHL, has a total of 9 pts in 94 games. Yes, he's only 19, but he really is a pure defensive player.
Sign me up for for a pure defensive player. We have room at the inn....

I kind of think it would be shabby of Reinhart and Montour, but I suppose that is possible. The regime under KA is clearly better and I surmise that gets whispered about, too. I guess we'll see. I will be surprised if they are as limited as you believe, but if they don't sign any higher level free agents I'll begin to wonder if it is process related or the continuing stigma you suggest.
Even if they bad -mouthed Buffalo, does anyone really think the vetting begins and ends there? Not me. I think these guys know a good opportunity when they see one. Their agents do too. I believe these players are more savvy and have a real time awareness.
Now, I'm not saying they're lining up to come here, but I do think we'll land good quality players this summer and moving forward.
