I just want to see some silver in Buffalo, as in Stanley Cup silver. They could be wearing ***** Brown unis with piss yellow trim and I wouldn't care. But in the meantime, these will do just fine.

You joke but the Padres are going back to their 70's ***** brown and piss yellow for 2020!

Glad the sabres are finally gonna be back in Royal blue, it's about time.

Vegas completely got jobbed. An over reaction to something that was clearly incidental, based on how Pavelski looked. I really hope he's ok - I hope it's not in sensitive to say it looked very unusual to see his body react like that to that type of contact.

It was odd, looked like he took a cross check to the face, I'm wondering if his face shield cracked and cut him when he hit the ice?

I don't know if anyone remembers me complaining about my Center Ice feed freezing at the commercial breaks. NHL.TV support was totally useless but I figured out it has something to do with my Microsoft Edge browser not liking the new 60 frame/per sec feed. Under settings you can switch back to god old fashioned Flash player. So I did. Plays fine now.

With chrome, the new NHL.tv crashes the browser tab every 5 mins

I just saw the hit finally. If you’re talking about Soderberg this isn’t even close to the truth. Jack lunged his shoulder into his head.

It’s a move Euchel does constantly but I don’t think he meant to get his head. But he did. It was real bad. That’s a two-game hit.

Hmm, after watching the replay a bunch of times, I'm not sure it's worthy of a suspension. Soderberg was stretching forward to try and reach the puck and got real low, Jack was there first and was using his body to protect the puck. The head contact looked incidental. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a game for it.

I’m surprised to see so few comments regarding the Dahlin hit to Rantanen.  Quite aggressive game by Dahlin.  Nice to see him show some heart.  He could see a game or fine for the elbow to the head.

Is that when the puck was up in the air? Someone else hit him and he pinballed into Dahlin and his own teamate. Zadorovs or Eichels hits would be more worthy of a fine or suspension.

Yeah, that call could have gone either way.  What bothers me (philosophically) about the replay rule is that the goal was 17 seconds after the zone entry and, if I remember correctly, a Pittsburgh player had possession of the puck at one point after the entry, but failed to clear it.  Technically, it's fruit of the poisoned tree, but at that point, it starts to get ridiculous to go back.  It's especially irritating when it happens after the game has ended in a tie, so they threw out some strange shinny game (which would be followed by a skills competition, if needed), all to decide a point that didn't exist until the game ended in a tie.  It's already a coin-flip based on different rules than the actual game, itself, for a nonsensical extra point.

Maybe the refs felt bad for blowing the call on the defenseman covering the puck on the goal line with his hand earlier.

  7. One thing I've noticed is that when he does make a mistake, he usually ends up recovering and makes a good play to steal the puck back or manages to make a pass out of trouble. There have been a few bad mistakes, but no worse than any of our other D men.
