I really think he is here to be the GM. Maybe as early as next season when Adams becomes President of Hockey Operations.

Once changed they have to stay for 6 months. So, about 5 months, but by then I will forget to change it back, or maybe I will be the *ghost* of someone else.

It seems that countries don't have the backbone for this and that will leave it up to the athletes, which is not fair when they have trained their whole life for this opportunity. That's all I will say on this for fear of sending this thread to the *club*.

I don't blame Adams for not giving long-term deals in his first offseason. It seems that it was decided to give it one last go with John and Samson and Linus and add Hall and that other guy and some other pieces to see what happened. Adams knew that if it went wrong then the idea was to rebuild around a new core for this season and John and Samson would be traded. Samson was not going to sign here long-term after last season after being jerked around with more bridges than Venice. I do believe that Adams wanted to bring Ullie back for 2 more seasons for some stability in net, but not at any price. Anyway, here we are. In my opinion, Adams has done nothing fireable. In fact, I think he has done a very good job.

He deserves another start after he held the Sabres in there against the quackers.

Friday again? So soon! Had our first major snow of the season Wednesday overnight. About a foot + with strong wind and drifts. Fantastic!! I love winter!! It's all good even though I had to drive home in it, but it had just started and inspite of the moronic policy of not sending out plows and sanders / salters until it stops I made it safely. I am getting new winter tires installed on December 20th ... missed it by that much. It was not that bad yet when I travelled and my Corolla is a tank and I'm a good driver. Today is -10 and nice. Tomorrow will be +12 and rain and Sunday will be +10 and rain. What a roller coaster, but welcome to NS winter.

We have a Beaver living in a pond near us. Never see him / her (?), but the dam is feat of engineering genius and the housen is fantastic. See clear evidence of the daily activity with trees down and branches tracken in the very distinct way of the Beaver. One of the most fascinating and important creatures in our wilds. That pond used to almost dry up completely in the heat of the summer. Now it teams with new life and growth all around and in it. The dam hold back the water with just enough outflow to ensure freshness.

When the dust settles at the end of this season the Buffalo Sabres will not be bottom 5. We will be drafting at around 7 or 8.

In the best of both worlds kind of thinking it has to be the Buffalo Beaver Boners. @PASabreFan bring the maple syrup we need sweetener over here. I'm with you @Ice Cold. Been a Beaver fan my whole life. Well, at least since 12 years old.
