Sabres Fan in NS

Voted Gallant. He is available and is the best shot at getting the Sabres into the playoff next season, IMHO. Right now all they need to worry about is making it. Once they do that will make a world of difference for this team. Once they start making the playoff regularly and Gallant wears out his welcome bring in someone to get them over the top.

It's always a sad day when anyone loses their job. Granato was hired to get the kids to a certain point. That is what he does and he did it well here in very short order. I really thought Granato would have one more season and then the Sabres would bring in the guy to get them to and then win in the playoff. Who is out there with a playoff winning record? Back in the day the Sabres brought in Bowman. It almost worked, but he wanted to be GM too. Turns out Scotty was a great coach, but not so great GM. If it were me I would hire Gallant.

I watched him play here in Halifax and felt he would be a very good one. Very nearly the last pick in 2013. He will be Flames Captain, I think. If the Sabres could somehow get him I would make him Captain.

Skipping meals is never a good idea, IMO. Exercise is good. I am kind of going the other direction, but I started out a scrawny little weakling - less than 150 until the last year or so. Now I still am a weakling, but not as scrawny. I have not weighed myself in forever, but I am more than 150 that's for sure.

I firmly believe the core guys will develop into a regular playoff team. This year they focused on cutting down the goals against and playing team defence. If not for that, which I think had to happen to learn what it takes to win in the playoff, and was the goal scoring machine of last year they may just have made it - the cut off this season looks to be 89 points in the Prince of Wales Conference. Campbell looks to be 100 points playoff cutoff. If the scoring comes back even a bit next season and if 6K continues as he did in the second half of this season and if his backup is not some dude off the scrap pile and ... the Sabres will be in the playoff. Book it.

Year ago we (my family - I was 14) skied Snowbird and Alta. Fantastic. Not as well know back then (1979) as Vail and Aspen. Not as crowded and wonderful. Salt Lake City also hosted one of the best March Madness final 4 and National Championships ever - Bird versus Magic in the final. The city was jammed with basketball fans and the ski hills were not jammed at all. Good times ... I was going to page @inkman, but then noticed that you did not ask for the teets.

I'm right with you @Scottysabres. And @shrader nailed it. This team has learned to play a tight defencive game. With a return to a more reasonable amount of scoring the Sabres will be in a better positon to win more games next season. They played well and have a winning record in the second half this season. If they could have eaked out a few more points in the first half they would be in it this season when 89 looks to be the 8th seed in the East.

There is no way that Skinner is the 13th forward. He will be on line 1 or line 2. 30+ goal scorer is not any team's 13th forward.

Not totality here, but 95% the darkness and coolness was very noticeable. Everything outside went greyish. The trees and everything. It is noticeable brighter again now and the colours are normal. In 30 minutes it will be over. Kind of neat looking out my bathroom window facing away from the sun. I am running out of things to do in here, though.
