I think the shoot out should become part of the tiebreaker criteria. Point system should be simplified. I would like to see a 3-2-1 system but different than proposed above. The system would be as follows: 3 for winning regulation; 2 for winning in OT with 0 to loser; 1 for winning in SO again with 0 to loser. Then make shoot out losses as the first tie breaker. No rewards for "ties" and both teams are going to want to end things before the next stage of the game.

What I hate about both OLN and NBC is the anouncers refuse to do play by play. They spend the whole game telling meaningless stories, someone needs to tell these anouncers that this isnt a football game and most people apreciate play by play in hockey.

It is pretty tough for the defense with only five players actually playing.

We look absolutely terrible through two periods. Hopefully we can come out in the third and at least attempt to even up the shots and maybe the goals. We neeed to at least build some momentum in the third to bring into game three back in buffalo.

May 2, 2006 Buffalo Sabres defeat the flyers 4 games to 2 in the best of seven first round series. Game six was never much of a competition as the Sabres dominated from the word go. The final score was 7-1, with the sabres finally getting a much needed win on the road.

NHL.com has Buffalo listed at 4 and Phylidelphia at 5. New Jersey won so they won the division and are in third. New Jersey is playing New York who finished in sixth.

we didnt play well enough in the first period to win, but i personnaly thought the officiating was otrocious. The fantom diving call they called on Briere still has me scratching my head.
