Why are there always "active drills" happening at the same time that these things happens? Its crazy. Just look it up. 9/11, 7/7 london, Sandy hook, Boston marathon, Paris, San Bernardino and many others. I guess just figure out when and where the drills are and then stay far away! This one does kill two birds with one stone, i.e terrorism and guns!

While on the topic of politics, just thought I'd post a shot of pg. 211 of Zbigniew Brzezinski's book The Grand Chessboard from 1997. We should all be aware of what the minds in high places have written because they believe we are incapable of thinking on a macro level as they do.

It is brilliant and maniacal at the same time. It is all about influencing change and thus is best achieved when there are two absolute ideologies that must necessarily coexist in order for a given outcome to be realized. However, the resolution of the conflict is never the goal, only the desired outcome is the goal. And since the desired outcome may not be completely achieved through just one conflict, a continuous stream of conflicts is necessary in order for the dialectical method of conflict non-resolution to endure indefinitely.

There's a good huffpost article that may be of help to those who want to see if there is any proof that Islam and in particular, Muhammad would condemn this if he were alive today. There is overwhelming proof against this sort of behavior and I'd have to say what we are seeing is a clear example of the Hegelian dialect, i.e problem-reaction-solution. It is what moves along the geopolitical game. "Today the dialectic is active in every political issue that encourages taking sides. We can see it in environmentalists instigating conflicts against private property owners, in democrats against republicans, in greens against libertarians, in communists against socialists, in neo-cons against traditional conservatives, in community activists against individuals, in pro-choice versus pro-life, in Christians against Muslims, in isolationists versus interventionists, in peace activists against war hawks. "At this time of dissension, he said there would appear "a group of young people who would be immature in thought and foolish." They would speak beautiful words but commit the most heinous of deeds. They would engage in so much prayer and fasting that the worship of the Muslims would appear insignificant in comparison. They would call people to the Quran but would have nothing to do with it in reality. The Quran would not go beyond their throats, meaning they wouldn't understand its essence at all, merely regurgitating it selectively. The Prophet then went on to describe these people as "the worst of the creation." As if this outline wasn't clear enough, another tradition in the book Kitaab Al Fitan reported by Caliph Ali, the fourth successor to Prophet Muhammad, describes these people as having long hair and bearing black flags. Their "hearts will be hard as iron," and they would be the companions of a State (Ashab ul Dawla). Interestingly, ISIS refers to itself as the Islamic State or Dawla. The tradition further mentions that they will break their covenants, not speak the truth and have names that mention their cities. The ISIS caliph, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, comes to mind. Prophet Muhammad furiously and painfully described these evildoers, and admonished Muslims to beware of their evil and fight it. I feel like Jack and Rose at the top of the Titanic as its sinking and people are getting their backs broken on their way down to the icy cold ocean. I'll never let go Jack! I just need a good hockey team to go along with my awesome homemade salsa dammit, that's all I ask for!

This is such a Toronto thing to do and Babcock talks much more like a TO guy than a Buffalo guy. Gotta love how Benigni suggested the Sabres think Babcock lied to him. He didn't even want to dignify that accusation. I live with a life long leafs fan so I'll be poking fun at their continued wrong turns for many years to come. Teehehe. Word to the wise: marry within your own fan base or deal with having to spend energy on a team and a fanbase you completely hate!

It's going so good for me, I wonder if the rags can do it tomorrow and give me a perfect second round. For having watched basically NO hockey this season and having relied on previous hockey knowledge and hearsay, I am impressed with myself. I am like a hockey whiz lady. Like a...like a savant...or more specifically, an idiot savant. Or like an artist who lost her muse but discovered she is her own muse. Or like a spiral staircase that never yearns to go in one direction. Or maybe, just maybe, like a helpless puppy that steals the biggest bone while the big dog is weeping from the pity it feels for the puppy. Yes. This is all true.

It's Friday show and tell for my son and today he decided to bring my mini Sabres Stanley Cup (from the beer box) that was given to me by one of my friends when I was 16. We've been watching the playoffs together and teaching him the game because he has a lot of questions. As I'm walking him to the school door, he tells me his show and tell object and then I'm like, well what are you going to say about it? So I start quickly spouting off different Stanley Cup facts and end it with, "The leafs haven't won this thing in 48 years". My son goes, " that's a long time". I'm laughing at how much concern I showed for him being able to present a bunch of 6-yr olds some accurate facts. And going forward, as far as I'm concerned, pre-expansion cups don't count anymore!

You chose the path less taken, and it has made all the difference. But you find your way back at the end, except there are birds and a big ugly Russian trying to derail our grand finale.

I guess when the teams that are expected to win actually do so, most peeps will pick up points but if you pick an outlier, you can really jump ahead and leave everyone in the dust. I'm fine in the middle though. As a buffalonian at heart, I am content with mediocrity...until someone shows me there is a better way to live!!!!!!!

Now I'm watching solely based on my ability to get points for this thing. Hey, it has actually increased my attention span for games. Kids can be making a grand ol' mess but hockey is on....and my mind can compartmentalize MK-Ultra style. Couldn't changed my name so I'm still McDavid4BlueandGold....but I love the Eichel Tower now OF COURSE.

Yay, didn't know about this. I was in a random league, god forbid! Changed name to Monkeygirl9...obviously. That was the easiest one for me, the rest were basically "hockey-educated" guesses made at midnight one night, no real analysis involved. If I would have known about the Sabrespace league, I would have put a lot more effort into it.
