Like I said
Ruff is a retread and wasn’t my choice but it could be so much worse. It could be meatballs or Ellis or Appert etc etc. Ruff brings legitimacy to the position in Buffalo that we haven’t had in a long time. Damn , we hired Krueger.- 1

Keep hearing posts saying not sure he’s the one to take us on a cup run etc, the old dogger has to get us in the playoffs first. That is a step we can’t keep looking past. I didn’t want Lindy back personally but its a damn sight better than a newby.

Enjoying the new Black Keys album. Like most albums for me it takes a couple listens to grow on me. That last one driving down to Victoria with the stereo cranked really did it.

If Donnie didn’t drive the players hard in practice this past season to instil work ethic , speed, uptempo, etc. is it safe to assume its been the same for his entire coaching career whilst he’s been with the Sabres ? If so how is it that nobody including KA was aware of this ? We can safely assume that someone who came over from another org. Would have noticed the lackluster way these guys were going about their practices etc. why did it take this franchise so long to figure it out and why hasn’t there been change ? Apparently we’ve all been wasting our time following this team and expecting different results.🤷🏻♂️

Really? The Devils were a playoff team and set a team record for points two season ago. They just need a goalie
The Blues have a winning tradition and sell out every game.
Ottawa and Buffalo are about the same. Buffalo has the Pegula factor which is not good.
Unfortunately it all starts with Terry. Until he changes or gets out of the way nothing will change with this team.

I don't disagree at all. It was a thing with the Sabres long before I came to Sabrespace. It's come up over the years many times. Nolan's lunch bucket crew were different but that's about it. My first choice is Gallant without question.
As for Granato, no need to get into it as it's done and over but he may have talked about accountability but he did not hold them accountable. Too much "growing and learning as a team" talk and too much calm and patient forgiveness along the way. Too much comfort.
I’ve said it before but Donnie was too much Kumbaya. Its human nature for many to take the easy route when presented with the choice of hardship or having something handed to you as the two paths to where you want to go. Hopefully the new coach can help mold our guys into resiliant warriors as opposed to the pampered child/men they sometimes appeared to be.

Its the 13th season without playoffs and most here thought Skinners monty Python reporter joke thing was gut splitting entertainment. I didn’t. Maybe a couple others. This team has a bad case of the sillys and most are still young enough to split a gut at an unexpected fart. While all that was happening they could have been doing some soul searching and looking for ways to get better. They weren’t. Accountability from the coaching staff was non existant. That much was obvious. I look forward to a change.

Nice seeing the leafs goalie getting aired out by the lightning largely due to defensive errors. 5-1 in the second.

Too soon ? 🤷🏻♂️

No hope in hell that Terry Pegula would sign off on Quenville what with the whole family values, my kind of people, coombayeah thing he apparently espouses.

More than a few decent coaches will shake loose throughout the playoffs. KA should be patient.

1/3 of the problem has been fixed
Granato(and assistants fired) ✅
Adams fired
Pegula sells the Sabres
Pegula is the common denominator in all of this disfunction. Full stop. Nothing changes until he does. Again, I could be wrong. He may finally get it right. But I have my doubts.

Most assumed Meatballs would be back, so this is a good first step. Can it be worse?
I’m afraid it could be. They could go first timer again.

I’d imagine the guys are having a group cry right about now. So long Don. Good luck in your future endeavours.

Does anyone think between KA and Terry P that they will make the right hire ? I have my doubts.

You say that, but I think Adams could find away to get under that goalie signing limbo bar.
I hear Zamboni guy plays for beer.

KA openly has stated no blocking the kids. Its an inane comment when clearly you need veteran leadership in this league to compete for the cup. KA has lived this with the Canes but how easily he forgets. And here we are.

I think theres still time to tweek this roster with the proper players and get to the promised land. I have a hard time believing KA, DG or TP for that matter are the guys to do it.

I have no confidence in anything that blocks the kids from happening. Whats that saying about a leader being willing to burn his city/country down so he can rule over the ashes? That essentially what TP has done. If I’m wrong I’m wrong. Its a wait and see at this point.

Cozens is a very big concern given the contract Adams gave him. 7 mil aav for an average 3rd liner, yikes.
It seems everyone in this organization is in over their heads. From the top down.

I can picture Friedmans heavy lower lip as I read that statement about Adams not contacting anyone. He does tend to throw things out there when he has nothing. Maybe he can do the work and ask his contacts in the coaching world who are currently without jobs if they were contacted.
