I am glad to see this thread come back... We took our daughter to Green Day in April; it was her first concert. She was a little apprehensive at first, but she knows all the songs and had a great time. My buddy and I have tickets to see the Guns n Roses show at the Outer Harbor; plus have tickets for the Mayhem Festival as well as Kid Rock this summer at Darien.

Yep, we still have one. Primarily my daughter uses it.

Papa Joe's in Gates is a little pricey, but the food is excellent. It's a tiny place on Route 31/Spencerport Road just before Long Pond if you are coming from the West. On the right-hand side.

I actually miss it more than I thought I would. I find myself watching WHL games on the NHL Network!

One of the things I will miss the most is watching the games (not just the Sabres) with my daughter. She is only 8, but she loves hockey and learning all about it. She keeps asking me if they are going to play again, and I tell her, "eventually". I can't believe we are going through this again. Again, I say: THIS SUCKS.

Man, this sucks. No hockey and the Bills aren't worth a sh*t. Going to be a dark fall/winter.

I have been reading about this for awhile and I wanted to comment. I have no other information to add; most of what I would like to say has been said by other posters. I would like to say that I want Doan on this team. Even if we get 2 years out of him, who knows maybe one of those years turns out to be the year we win The Cup. That to me would outweigh any negativity of overpaying for him. I am with the "older" generation here (sorry, no disrepect) in I want a Cup sooner than later. I am tired of waiting for "later"; in my opinion, it never comes. We just keep adding years of fighting to make the playoffs. Let's do it now. Let's be a team other fear; that others don't want to play against. I think (IMO) Shane Doan brings a very vital piece to this team. That's all. Thank you for letting me get that out.

It doesn't bother me one way or another but I got a couple of good pictures and sent them home to my wife & daughter because I knew they would get a kick of it.

I like Alice & I have seen him several times in the past. I am never disappointed. This was my 3rd time for Maiden, but not since 20 years ago when I was in high school. Only bought one beer & that was up front.

I was there, too. My highlights were "The Prisoner" & "Wasted Years". I also enjoyed Alice Cooper. The last song sung with a Sabres jersey on was a nice touch (him being from Detroit and all).
