Does noone want to touch this beauty?
Does anyone buy this? And if they do, what does that say about GMTM?
If it was sincere, I think it is time for the Superman cape to come off.
Already touched.

And I just looked at the roster for that game. There were only 3 Cs on it.

Ted Nolan gave Ted Nolan Pat Kaleta as a center. The team had 4th line center options.
I don't follow. They had other centers at the time and Nolan chose Patty? I really don't think that happened.
-
I mean, I've gotten over much, much more important ###### than that. As you know. But take the logic and run with it, you know?
It wasn't so much logic as it was a red herring you threw out there.
GMTM can't say he didn't think we were a 30th place team and give his coach Pat Kaleta as a center. It has nothing to do with why I wanted Ruff gone.
-
Oh, that's ok for Ted, but having only Cody is an acceptable situation for Ruff?
Call it straight.
Dude, you have to let it go.

"I didn't foresee us as a 30th place team..." ~ Tim Murray.
AHAHAHAHAhahahahahahaaaaaa! Aha! Ha.
What a load of crap. He gave Nolan no other than Pat Kaleta to use as a center this year.

Boy, the shart just gets stinkier,… and splatterier.

I loved your "I only want generational" post. The rage is strong in this one.
I had probably more John Powers in me than I should've had. Just wanted to make sure that I actually felt that way today and it wasn't just the booze talking. I do.
And for the record, most squirrels are (I'm sure there are a few good ones) and would fling any one of us if they could. But they don't have thumbs, so screw 'em.

I'm ######in pissed. Nobody is going to convince me that this was the right way to build a winner,… ever,… even if it does.
And Eichel won't do it for me. I want McDavid. To have gone through this to be worth it, "elite" won't cut it. I want "generational."
Upon further review, and after sobering up, I still completely endorse these two posts.dude...
Are you serious?
That may be the funniest thing I have ever seen on this here intertubes thingy.
This season is now not a total loss.

I can't pretend to know, but I'll guess that if you went back through all of his game film you'll find some more flaky moments. There's a reason he went undrafted in the first place. Undrafted forwards/defensemen usually have size/speed issues. Goalies either aren't stopping the puck or are having weird moments that give people significant pause.
I love this post. I wonder if there will eventually be some advanced stat for college goalies that explains "weird moments."

He's one of the oldest out there. He was a 23 year old junior. He is goi g to be the story of this tourney years from now. He will have a lot on his shoulders.
I think people expect to see Eichel score 5 a game each night. That will never be how it works in college. That kid is miles ahead of everyone out there and when you take the time to watch the little things, you know it. To see a freshman dominate in the way he did, it is truly amazing. I've been Round for the last 15 years and no be has come close to what he has done. Toews is the golden child and Eichel blew him out of the water, who by the way was also not a national championship winner.
Good stuff. This gives me hope and is good to hear.

Hooray for animal cruelty!
That squirrel would fling you if he could.

I'll just say that with all the college hockey I have watched, I have never seen a player control a game anywhere near like he has, and as a freshman no less. I think people expect too much given his hype. I hope we see similar comments when Erie doesn't make it to the Memorial Cup.
Admittedly, the only college hockey I watch is this tourney (maybe some other games throughout the year as background noise), so I'm probably not the best evaluator of talent. I'll also repeat that, to me, it looked like he was the only reason that team was in the final.

He can't stop the goalie from dropping a routine pop up.
But he can go into beast mode, no?
I'm with SiZzle. I expected more at the end when they needed him.
-
BU didn't really look that good in either game. They probably wouldn't have sniffed the FF if it weren't for Eichel.
-
That Providence goalie is buttery.
-
Poor Kid. He's got the yips now.

Aaaaaaand there is another 5 months of my life that I'll never get back.

Thank you Jesus, God, Allah, Krishna, Odin, Flying Spaghetti Monster,… whoever is responsible for mercifully bringing to and end this steaming pile of excrement.
…And one last time, The Tank.

Is it me or has Ennis checked out?

Way to tie up that stick Gionta.

I know he's going to burn us now, but I am always underwhelmed by Malkin.

Check it out! Pretty cool. Let's start voting so it can get the $150K in arena upgrades and be named Kraft Hockeyville!
Also: I'm glad this was my 10,000th post.
That's awesome!
Totally awesome. He got to 10,000 in record time.

Melrose has had a couple of pops tonight, eh?

McCormick got hurt (concussed?) and they didn't bring a center up. Patty played four games at center.
Ironically, we went 3-1. Doesn't change the fact that he didn't bring up a center.
