Practice could have been harder but what was stopping the players from practicing harder?
The Skinner clip was a beer league level ***** show. Why do we have nine guys on this side and only two over there?
Wow. Double wow.

Hope Eleven is OK. And Taro.
If I had to guess the season was especially hard for Taro because his expectations were so high. I gave him a hard time about it and shouldn't have. Low hanging fruit and all.
That's why my policy is to wait and watch before drawing conclusions. No way am I predicting a breakout season... Or DFL.

I don’t know how correct that is. By the same date as Roy’s first game, The Islanders got 61% of points. The Hurricanes got 74%.The Isles are certainly a much better team under Roy but I don’t think they were ‘the hottest team in the league.’
Last 10 games is my benchmark. But like I said the Isles were streaky all year.
-
Speaking of Isles, a bunch of bums with a GM who's too old. The Sabres were going to rip past them too.
On Jan. 20 they were slumping but still only two points out. Stinky Pants fired his coach and brought in Pat Roy. They were streaky but enter the playoffs the hottest team in the league.
20-12-5 under Roy.

Dmitri Lugubriev is better than all of them. He is The One.

The players sure seemed to get on the same page for once and throw Donnie under the bus, albeit somewhat subtly.
They need a coach with structure who will hold them accountable.
Hockey player, heal thyself.

Randall suggested the 7-6 Ottawa game for next time.
It was fun. Reminders of the past: standup goalies, quick whistle with the puck along the boards, crummy looking nets, Frank Christie, the funky buffalo made by kindergarteners, no ads on the boards, no score or time on the screen...

Good question. I'll bet there will be a number of bidders.
I read that as I'll be there with a number of bidders.

Randall, Thorny, nellis, Harry Neale, Howie Meeker and a cast of thousands.
@dudacek Randall says hi.

Doohickie you just missed it. Sabres onto the second round in that toddling town!

Three of us. Come back nellis

Two of us are waiting for others

9 p.m. so it has that Western feel.
The video is a little over two hours.
Sabres lead the series 2-1 so tonight they can clinch the best of 5.

Reading that thread yesterday was amusing to see how quickly people attacked the credibility. Some people don’t want to burn their sources.
I didn’t understand why people were so quick to poo poo it when I thought it was a very real possibility. I know someone mentioned the new scoreboard and roof as proof why he wasn’t selling. When I heard the rumor I immediately thought that may been a condition of the deal.
this is going to be a very interesting summer
Critical thinking! Folks, we're on our own. The pros like Rachel are not thinking or working for us.

Also love the moving on part. Nothing to see here!

That's some great critical thinking. How did she confirm that? Who are the named sources? Yesterday she surely thought no part of the Bills was for sale.
Clearly everything is on the table in the Pegula sports portfolio.

The guy said Pegula was selling everything except the Bills when it ended up the exact opposite was true.
The Bills are selling everything except Pegula?

Statement from Pegula said that no other sports teams are up for sale.
Sorry, it did not. It said "discussions" about the sale of a minority interest in the Bills involve the Bills and do not involve other teams. Well, duh. Another atrociously written release from the Pegula people.

Brawndo says he has heard that a minority interest in the team is up for grabs.
AP reported yesterday that the NHL OKed someone to contact TP about buying the team.
Part of the Bills is for sale.

And now the other thread, which addressed the Sabres piece of the story, and which now has more bite to it, is locked?
So we have to come here and probably be accused of going off topic?

I'm thinking about it. A lot.

Who will be the next Head Coach of the Buffalo Sabres?

So many things were going right the Sabres were a .500 team down the stretch with every incentive to win... End the drought plus other teams were collapsing.
Granato's problems ran deeper than his peeper.
