  1. Is anyone else rooting for Coachella Valley in the West? Would be fun to see Bylsma again!
  2. I don’t post here very often but sometimes a topic is posted that is so misguided that I cannot look away in good conscience. Tooth does nothing but cheer his heart out for this team every night and now you’re talking about hitting him with a car? I have seen that cat risk his life rappelling from the ceiling of the stadium to get try to get this crowd going. This is how we treat a fan whose support has never waivered? This board has really lost its way.
  3. NHL: KBC, Washington, Florida, Tampa, Atlanta, LA, San Jose, Dallas, Minnesota, Toronto, Detroit NFL: Buffalo, RFK, San Francisco (candlestick and Levi), Oakland, Tampa, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Dallas, LAC, Wembley, NO (not for football), Atlanta (final four) MLB: Baltimore, SF, Oakland, Tampa, Houston, Atlanta, Boston, CHC NBA: Houston, Golden State, Orlando (arena football) NCAAF: FSU, UF, UH, Rice, Stanford, Cal, ND, Rose Bowl
  4. Why all the love for Kalinin? I seem to remember him never living up to potential and consistently turning over the puck in key situations. He received a few ‘motivational speeches’ from Ruff.
  5. Thanks for your help. I wish you were there when I bought these things!
  6. I would not say my foot slops around. There is a little movement in the foot but my heel does not move up and down. Mostly I feel that my ankles are free to bend.
  7. Mostly in my ankles (on the outside) and some in the balls of my feet.
  8. I feel stable when I am walking around. Not as stable as wearing shoes but I am not turning my ankles or anything. I think I could run a few feet in them but I have never tried.
  9. I think they are Bauer Supremes. I was actually in Buffalo when I bought them. I got them at Great Skate. I don't know much about skates but the guy at the store helped me size them. I have added insoles since but they did not seem to help much. I am 6'2", 205 lbs.
  10. I have been following this thread as I am in a similar situation. I am 32 and have been taking lessons for the past 8 months (I live in San Francisco). Things were going well at first but when I changed from Hockey 1 to Hockey 2 the drills got a lot harder and my progress has basically stopped. There are about 10 people in my class and I am still the worst one. My instructor thinks the problem is my skates and has adjusted the blade twice. He says I am pronating a lot. Now he thinks there is too much room in the boot around my ankles. I tie my skates pretty tight and have even let him tie them and there was no difference in stability. I agree with him on the pronation, I am always in pain for the first half of the classes and then the pain goes away but for the rest of the class I can see my ankles being turned in and I am leaning heavily on my inside edges. Do you guys have any suggestions for this problem?
  11. Greg Kash is pretty cool...He needs to do a show in San Francisco. That being said, I also agree that the Sabres have been needing this change for awhile. Especially with respect to conditioning as injuries seem to plague us every year. Kash and I went to Florida State and they have implemented a tracking system where chips are implanted into all the player's pads and the coaches can track their stats throughout practice. They say they can see when players are slowing down from fatigue and have reduced soft tissue injuries by 30%. Not saying we need this exact system but some new thinking might be overdue.
