  1. Can anyone point me in the right direction for puchasing the new Crossed Swords helmet decal the Sabres are wearing on the back of their helmet this year? Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

    Virus Line

Has anyone called the Hodgson Pominville Vanek line the "Virus". HPV? Stupid I know but I needed something for my yearly post on The Aud Club. Maybe I missed it somewhere
  3. Does anyone else like the intro to "Your Betrayal" by Bullet for My Valentine?
  4. I am not giving up on this team, but I may give up on this board. Somedays I hate being a Buffalo fan. This negativism has GOT to stop. I know this board is a nice tool to vent on, and trust me, I understand your frustration. That being said, we've got to pull together on this. Nothing personal, but I just used your comment to vent my own frustrations with. PS - The Buffalo Sabres are going to win the 2007 Stanley Cup. Get used to believing!
  5. Ummm, isn't this a family board? Sorry, my sick mind was at work again!
  6. Is Direct TV definitely carrying Center Ice for free this week? I only see it as a "Freeview" for Digital Cable Subscribers. Direct TV had the Freeview in October. Can anyone confirm?
  7. Lindy has the Slugs focused and the Gods have them healthy. Tonight is a good night to beat the Sens. They are down a couple of guys and even though I expect Emery to stand on his head, Sabres pull it out. 4-2. Pommer twice, Drury, and Briere.
  8. That's more like it, eh? I thought the boys would come out in a foul mood and F up some Preds. You'll see this from the Sabres all year I think. If they have an off couple of games, they'll come out smoking and show everyone that they're not going anywhere. Have faith fellow Fans of the Sword. This is going to be a long and enjoyable season.
  9. I'm hoping this is one of those games where the boys in blue and gold say, "Relax all you fans out there on SabreSpace. The Kids Are Alright." I think the Sabres come out on top tonight and send the Preds and their blue and Gulden's mustard jerseys out of the Gaylord with a home "L". We'll just have to see. The Preds are a pretty decent team.
  10. The consensus here seems to indicate that we the fans don't believe the team is playing hard and is getting "Out-Physicaled". If that is the case, could a possible explanation be that the team is body weary due to their style of play? I see multiple games missed due to injuries and every night it seems like they can't find their legs for 55 out of 60 minutes. I don't think the talent or work ethic has gone anywhere on this team. Every team in the NHL will have these periods where they have to catch their breath while things don't go their way all the time. The Sabres will be fine, we all have this feeling in our gut that says, "This can be a very special year". That is what makes these types of "slump" periods so difficult to stomach. I am no longer a baseball fan, but I think about the 2004 Red Sox a lot when I see the Sabres. A group of guys with an "Us against the world" attitude, who genuinely care for each other, with the talent to win it all. Before the 2004 season started in Boston, the fans were their typical negative selves and new ace Curt Schilling had to post on a message board to: "Relax and enjoy the finest Red Sox team ever assembled". Maybe we all need to sit back, relax, and enjoy the finest Sabres team ever assembled. To throw as many cliches into this as possible, we need to remember that an NHL season is a marathon, not a sprint. The Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy in all of sports to win. It takes 82 games to get to a point where another 16 wins gets you the hardware. These guys will keep fighting. Lindy will keep coaching, and I for one will still cheer for this team night in, and night out. I understand that we are in the midst of a season where we can witness something truly special. Hold onto that feeling and keep the negativity to a minimum. That's just my rambling rant. Happy Festivus Everyone!
  11. Quick, everyone jump! C'mon pessimists, just because the Bills have sucked up the Sabres' weekly mojo doesn't mean this game is done. Sabres win tonight!
