Sabres GM Kevyn Adams tried to find a new team for Vinnie Hinostroza in January when the veteran winger was a healthy scratch.

A deal didn't come together. With Alex Tuch out, Hinostroza said he hasn't received any assurance that he's staying in Buffalo beyond Friday's deadline.
