That's hardly "throwing shade." I think everything he said is pretty objectively accurate.

For me the question is simple. Do you want to pay Tuch $11 million a year when he's turning 30 in May, and this season has been a mixed bag for him? Keeping in mind if they signed him, this would impact signing our younger players like Benson. If he's firm on $11 million, I would absolutely trade him for what I can get.

If KA is elevated to a position with a loftier title without much authority, then I would be fine with that. He can have whatever title he wants as long as another GM is the one authorized to make the hockey decisions. Will that be the case in this weird Pegula organization? I don't know.

I wouldn't be bothered if KA was promoted to the POHO position. The issue then becomes is he still making the hockey decisions or would the next GM be making the personnel decisions. The issue isn't what position he has as it is how empowered is he.

That's the thing I keep asking: who decides what's low danger, high danger or an expected goal? Just because something is based on "years of data" doesn't answer the question. It is. Many times. You just don't notice.

That's not what's happening.

So do the Sabres goalies. We just forget about them. It's when they let in the 4th or 5th try we take notice.

This could be part of the problem... Possibly in the other end as well. The Sabres still give up a fair number of low danger shots. Keeping shots to low danger tells me the D are doing their jobs by keeping pucks to the outside. But giving the other team the opportunity to be in our zone enough to take that many shots might be more on the our F's not maintaining possession in the attacking zone. (More cool colours.)

I think Lindy is the most respected guy to sit in front of a mic and say that shirt is hard in Buffalo. So in that respect it helps cut through the bullshirt/gaslighting we get from Adams.
