lol - i've evolved (changed?), i swear. i almost never intentionally listen to the band's music anymore. i still love it, though. but i love it like a memory. further proof that i've grown: when PROG GOD peter gabriel came to town several years ago, i skipped the show.

Dude I wasnt referring to you... and I wasnt referring to specifically Granato... there is always nostalgia and speculation about the past... I was simply stating that under Adams the coaches that we have brought on board have been less than accomplished to the point that they are no longer coaching... Now if you are asking me which of the four I would chose to be our head coach and I needed to pick from 1 of the 4 I would pick Granato... Ruff just doesnt have them and probably cant communicate with them.... Kruger was a farce, Housley lost them when he railed them about getting to the "dirty places on the ice" as he hid under the bench his whole career trying to avoid them... Granato at least seemed to have their attention...

Seems like Pegula is waiting for the team to return from this road trip to fire Adams and insert Jarmo Kekalainen. Then the acting GM can fire Ruff and stick someone else in there for the rest of the season. There is no other NHL club that would not have already fired the coach and GM this season.

I'd gladly do that for one game in the Chel.

Good thing the Sabres are lucky enough to have 3 great goalies to justify keeping all 3 of them and taking up that extra roster spot.
-
6 goals too in those 29 games. And getting bottom 6 minutes. Its only 1/3 of a season, but he's scaling to be a 20+ goal scorer eventually if/when he gets more minutes. Now, truth be told, his numbers are AWFUL when he isn't playing with Draisaitl. And they move him with Draisaitl, and all of a sudden he looks good.

I wasn’t a huge Yes fan but I did see them at Rich Stadium early 70’s. I later saw Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Carl Palmer was amazing. Just some useless facts about myself that your post reminded me of. Carry on.

Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity are touring together in 2026. They are playing Kodak Center in Rochester in April. I just grabbed 2 tix. Two bands I really enjoy. I’ve seen Clutch twice. Great live show. I haven’t seen Corrosion live yet. Really looking forward to it.

They're 6-11-3 since November 1st though. Just fire them both and be done with it. Jarmo can hire whoever he's got on speed dial to finish out the season.

Of course I couldn't find my keys this morning. On the bright side, I lifted up the recliner and found a long lost debit card. Now, I KNOW the card hasn't been on the floor the whole time bc I do vacuum (twice a year, granted). I put two and two together. The keys went down in the recliner last night and dislodged the card. So... Thank you, Sabres!? -
Omigosh I would have guessed this if asked. All of you Yes people are similar.

Who is clamoring for any coach from the past? I've defended Granato's record. There is no denying that Granato got far more out of the team than Ruff has gotten. But, defending Granato's record isn't the same as arguing he should still be the coach. Better coaches than Granato are fired all of the time. The point is that Granato was fired after getting much more out of much less.

And the hits just keep on coming...

I grew up a huge prog rock head -- and Yes was my favourite band. I was super fired up when Yes's music was featured in the climactic confrontation scene and then again over the credit roll. From our perch in the 300s on the visitors side, I recall seeing him when he first went down -- on the Bills sideline -- and how he didn't pop back up. He walked unsteadily to the blue tent. Someone near me remarked that he'd recently been out with a concussion. I assumed he'd be done for the day. Nope. I'm sure he said he felt fine and that he was good to go. The teams and the league need to save these guys from themselves.

Tua levels of player mismanagement. These are human beings. FFS.

Three headed goalie monster coming to an end?

Was it a mistake to trade Jonas Johansson? Why couldn't Devin Cooley make his transformation to NHL backup 2 years ago? Can Georgiev come back? What's Cal Petersen up to these days? -
Philip Rivers 44yr Grandfather coming out of retirement to play QB for the Colts.

He's young. He'll be fine.

Interesting chart from Micah McCurdy today. UPL and Ellis solidly bottom left. As in, facing fewer expected goals but giving up more goals on high danger chances anyway. Lyon in the middle. More expected goals faced but allowing fewer goals on high danger chances. Anyway, there's not much going on in the Sabres goalie pool that is any good. So I don't know why they're bothering to keep three at this point.
