  1. Past hour
  2. I would say this... we are 2nd last in the league at GA and lower half in goals for... I also think one is a function of the other... constantly down trying to score playing less defense, giving up empty net goals... and getting a few goals for because we threw away defense... to me both sides are not good enough, the entire team doesnt play the right way, and if you ask me what our biggest problem is, its neither... its the softest, most uninspired, lazy, stupid playmaking defensman I have ever seen assembled (save Dahlin)
  3. Surely no other professional sports owner would ever let something like this go on for as long as this has gone on unless it was to prevent some sort of major personal embarrassment by keeping Adams employed. The only explanation that makes any sense to me as to why Pegula won’t fire Adams is that Pegula himself has been calling all the shots when it comes to trades and draft picks, and KA is just a benevolent false front for the GM job.
  4. I'm not sure a team can legally dress 3 goalies. Something has to work for this team though.
  5. I know this is a joke, but I think this is the only way they could possibly win. Dilute the suckness.
  6. Last year this far into the season, the Sabres were more than half way through their 13 game losing strek....8 games into it. Even though last years team at game 29 was on an 8 game losing streak.....their record last year was 11-14-4 The record this year? 11-14-4.
  7. I know our goaltending sucks but keep this in mind except for last night we would have had to hold our opposition to 2 goals or less in any game we lost in regulation. I don't think we could improve the goaltending enough to overcome most of these games where we are not scoring 4 goals. Yes I do think we need a left winger that can score goals. I was not against the Peterka trade but with Doan coming back on the right side we lost the scoring balance that is needed to have effective lines. It's hurting us. Sabres scoring in loses breakdown. zero goals 3 one goal 4 two goals 5 three goals 5 4 goals 1 (last night)
  8. There really is no reason to win from here on out. It's not tanking, they are just plain bad. Zero chance they can get a 9 or 10 game win streak, so you might as well embrace the losses. Pick in the top 3 most likely, trade Tage, trade dahlin, trade tuch, and start from scratch. Get the new GM and have a brand new identity from top to bottom. These players will all want out, if they already have not made ultimatums already. It's the right thing to do and there is one thing we already know...it CAN'T be any worse than it is right now. We as fans have to accept defeat, and so does Pegula. The flame has been extinguished, and only a complete overhaul will be able to get energy back into that building. It's gonna suck, but there are no other answers...
  9. lol - i've evolved (changed?), i swear. i almost never intentionally listen to the band's music anymore. i still love it, though. but i love it like a memory. further proof that i've grown: when PROG GOD peter gabriel came to town several years ago, i skipped the show.
  10. Dude I wasnt referring to you... and I wasnt referring to specifically Granato... there is always nostalgia and speculation about the past... I was simply stating that under Adams the coaches that we have brought on board have been less than accomplished to the point that they are no longer coaching... Now if you are asking me which of the four I would chose to be our head coach and I needed to pick from 1 of the 4 I would pick Granato... Ruff just doesnt have them and probably cant communicate with them.... Kruger was a farce, Housley lost them when he railed them about getting to the "dirty places on the ice" as he hid under the bench his whole career trying to avoid them... Granato at least seemed to have their attention...
  11. Seems like Pegula is waiting for the team to return from this road trip to fire Adams and insert Jarmo Kekalainen. Then the acting GM can fire Ruff and stick someone else in there for the rest of the season. There is no other NHL club that would not have already fired the coach and GM this season.
  12. I'd gladly do that for one game in the Chel.
  13. Good thing the Sabres are lucky enough to have 3 great goalies to justify keeping all 3 of them and taking up that extra roster spot.
  14. 6 goals too in those 29 games. And getting bottom 6 minutes. Its only 1/3 of a season, but he's scaling to be a 20+ goal scorer eventually if/when he gets more minutes. Now, truth be told, his numbers are AWFUL when he isn't playing with Draisaitl. And they move him with Draisaitl, and all of a sudden he looks good.
  15. Today
  16. I wasn’t a huge Yes fan but I did see them at Rich Stadium early 70’s. I later saw Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Carl Palmer was amazing. Just some useless facts about myself that your post reminded me of. Carry on.
  17. Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity are touring together in 2026. They are playing Kodak Center in Rochester in April. I just grabbed 2 tix. Two bands I really enjoy. I’ve seen Clutch twice. Great live show. I haven’t seen Corrosion live yet. Really looking forward to it.
  18. They're 6-11-3 since November 1st though. Just fire them both and be done with it. Jarmo can hire whoever he's got on speed dial to finish out the season.
  19. Of course I couldn't find my keys this morning. On the bright side, I lifted up the recliner and found a long lost debit card. Now, I KNOW the card hasn't been on the floor the whole time bc I do vacuum (twice a year, granted). I put two and two together. The keys went down in the recliner last night and dislodged the card. So... Thank you, Sabres!?
  20. Omigosh I would have guessed this if asked. All of you Yes people are similar.
  21. Who is clamoring for any coach from the past? I've defended Granato's record. There is no denying that Granato got far more out of the team than Ruff has gotten. But, defending Granato's record isn't the same as arguing he should still be the coach. Better coaches than Granato are fired all of the time. The point is that Granato was fired after getting much more out of much less.
  22. And the hits just keep on coming...
  23. I grew up a huge prog rock head -- and Yes was my favourite band. I was super fired up when Yes's music was featured in the climactic confrontation scene and then again over the credit roll. From our perch in the 300s on the visitors side, I recall seeing him when he first went down -- on the Bills sideline -- and how he didn't pop back up. He walked unsteadily to the blue tent. Someone near me remarked that he'd recently been out with a concussion. I assumed he'd be done for the day. Nope. I'm sure he said he felt fine and that he was good to go. The teams and the league need to save these guys from themselves.
  24. Thursday's came in Vancouver says, "Hold my beer!"
