  1. Past hour
  2. If KA is elevated to a position with a loftier title without much authority, then I would be fine with that. He can have whatever title he wants as long as another GM is the one authorized to make the hockey decisions. Will that be the case in this weird Pegula organization? I don't know.
  3. We moved the ball all day long, didn’t punt, and shot ourselves in the foot more than anything the Bengals D did. And the fact that they were 10 points up at one point is a reflection of their ability to move against our defense and had nothing to do with what our offense was doing. I will agree to disagree with the rest of it.
  4. Taking out your testicular cancer just to put it into your head, seems counter productive.
  5. I wouldn't be bothered if KA was promoted to the POHO position. The issue then becomes is he still making the hockey decisions or would the next GM be making the personnel decisions. The issue isn't what position he has as it is how empowered is he.
  6. I'd take Greentree.
  7. That's the thing I keep asking: who decides what's low danger, high danger or an expected goal? Just because something is based on "years of data" doesn't answer the question. It is. Many times. You just don't notice.
  8. That's not what's happening.
  9. So do the Sabres goalies. We just forget about them. It's when they let in the 4th or 5th try we take notice.
  10. This could be part of the problem... Possibly in the other end as well. The Sabres still give up a fair number of low danger shots. Keeping shots to low danger tells me the D are doing their jobs by keeping pucks to the outside. But giving the other team the opportunity to be in our zone enough to take that many shots might be more on the our F's not maintaining possession in the attacking zone. (More cool colours.)
  11. I think Lindy is the most respected guy to sit in front of a mic and say that shirt is hard in Buffalo. So in that respect it helps cut through the bullshirt/gaslighting we get from Adams.
  12. Because Terry is stupid and the org is dysfunctional. Nothing will change as long as Terrance thinks he's smart. You'd think 15yrs of ***** up would convince him but nahhh
  13. Other goalies, save those sometimes, most times even.
  14. Adams is more likely to be promoted to POHO then be removed from the organization
  15. We all know Adams needs to go. Lindy hinting at dysfunction doesn't change that.
  16. I disagree. It wasn't a secret to him or anyone involved in the league that the Sabre organization was and is dysfunctional. He probably thought he would have more say into personnel and staffing decisions. But clearly, he isn't as influential and empowered as he thought he would be. There were and are a lot of qualified people who wouldn't have an interest in taking the coaching job if offered because they know what they would be encountering here in this Pegula toxic dump.
  17. Yep. The owner would allow one specific coaching change this offseason, when he said no the status quo remained
  18. It's also a little frustrating that the long tenured HC is publically saying/hinting that he disagrees with at least 2/23 players. My take on Lindy is that if you give him the 10th best roster he'll often be about the 10th best team in the league. But if you give him the 20th best roster he'll have you in the playoffs more often than you miss. If you're bottom 10 he'll have you in the hunt. He's a low ceiling, high floor kind of coach. He's a good stabilizer for an organization in transition and/or with a young, but he won't get you over the hump. To your point, firing Lindy accomplishes nothing.
  19. I have to ask, do you consider breakaways soft goals? 1-on-0? 2-on-1?
  20. I've played around with the different scenarios, and this is true. Here are the tiebreaking scenarios (hopefully I haven't missed anything): If the Pats beat the Bills this week, they clinch the division immediately (head-to-head tiebreaker). If the Bills go 4-0 and the Pats 2-2 with the second loss to either the Jets or Dolphins, the Bills win the division (conference record). If the Bills go 4-0 and the Pats 2-2 with the second loss against the Ravens, the Pats win the division (division record) If the Bills go 2-2 and the Pats 0-4, the Bills clinch the division (division record tiebreaker). If the Bills go 3-1 losing to the Jets and the Pats go 1-3 by beating either the Jets or Dolphins, the Pats win the division(division record). If the Bills go 3-1 losing to the Jets and the Pats go 1-3 by beating the Ravens, the Bills win the division (conference record). If the Bills go 3-1 losing to the Browns and the Pats go 1-3 beating the Jets or Dolphins, the Bills win the division (conference record). If the Bills go 3-1 losing to the Browns and the Pats go 1-3 beating the Ravens, the Bills win the division (division record). If the Bills go 3-1 losing to the Eagles and the Pats go 1-3 beating the Jets or Dolphins, the Bills win the division (common games). If the Bills go 3-1 losing to the Eagles and the Pats go 1-3 beating the Ravens, the Bills win the division (division record). Whew. I probably screwed up somewhere in there. That was a fun diversion.
  21. A bit lol. Billy came through in the clutch tho.
  22. As you acknowledge, the Sabres will not get much of a return for this impending free agent player. With respect to the cap space made available by not signing him, it shouldn't be forgotten that Buffalo is not an attractive franchise for players on the market. It shouldn't be forgotten that Buffalo is one of the most cited franchises on NTCs. If Tuch is dealt, the end result, even after utilizing the cap space, the Sabres will be a lesser team. And what a Tuch departure due to him not wanting to be here is another sign that this organization is so contaminated that not only players don't want to come here but also players here want out. That's an ugly situation to be in. And don't kid yourself that players such as Dahlin and Tage will also want to get the freak out.
  23. Today
  24. I think it is more on goaltending that some thing, but in my opinion, the problems with this team allowing goals are, in the following order: 1.) First and foremost, the forwards are still awful, absolutely terrible (as a unit) helping out in their own end. 2.) Goalies let in too many soft goals 3.) Some bad plays by the D-men. For it it is definitly in that order...still...just like last year..and the year before...
  25. Which is why, when it gets brough up, I'm not in favor of firing Ruff and thinking it will fix everything or anything. 1.) Its the roster management more than the head coach that hurts this team. 2.) If the Ownership/management doesn't change how they do things, what 'good' coach will want to come here and work under the conditions that exist?
