73 man/games lost to injury in 15 games
PromoTheRobot replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Aud Club
That's why I posted that pod. Baker and Fairburn aren't a couple of amateur hot heads. Fairburn is the Sabres beat writer for the Athletic and Baker runs the website Sabres Prospects. They are both fairly plugged in. Fairburn in particular paints a picture of Adams and Kekalainen working in tandem, not of Adams looking over his shoulder. They think a transition is in the works, perhaps mid season. I wonder if a deal for Chinakov is near? They didn't mention it specifically, but stressed how vital it is for the locker room to make a move to show they are trying to bolster the team. -
I tried to tell ppl last month that Jarmo was in Buffalo but it got no traction. It's pretty clear to me Jarmo being interviewed for gm and is here so Pegula gets to know him and is comfortable. I have this hope Adams has the capacity to recognize he can't do it and will be moved to advisor to the owner role.

Did anyone listen to the podcast I linked? It discussed Kev stepping down (or up?) to allow Jarmo to be GM and take over deal making. Also they say Jarmo has been in Buffalo daily, in the building and at practices, not living in Columbus full time as we believe he is. - Today

His glass collection ?
-
He can be sent to the AHL without having to go through waivers. Kevyn Adams gets rock hard when he does it as he thinks it makes him look smart.
-
Well Kevyn certainly is special, innit? Seriously though, this is going on too long to be a random variation. Yeah, that’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point.

GMKA extension will become reality due to the injury excuse…..there is no hope for this team’s future. -
Caleb Malhotra is a guy to keep an eye in the 2nd round. Reminds me a bit of Helenius but not as good.
-
It's not a stat. His skating is better than Geekie at the same age. Really it's just his edge work. I don't think he's dynamic in his rushing either... but if you need a guy to dig pucks out or to take pucks from the wall to the HD area, Belchetz can do that. Still super early in the process so we'll see how he develops. He's a guy I wish went ncaa. I wanna know what happens when he's not 5 inches and 40lbs heavier than most ppl on the ice. He's in the top 5 for me right now but again, I don't really like to make a list until January.

Did RyJo kick Lindy's dog or something? Why can't they give him a shot over Bryson?
-
They aren't though... they were losing games before the injuries. The injuries don't matter.

If the Bruins waive Aspirot claim him. Good, stable, boring and uninspiring stay at home D man who made virtually no mistakes in the games he played. Much better than Bryson and a reasonably good compliment to any of the puck movers.

Just call me Nostradamus. Told ya injuries would be this year's excuse before the season even started. -
Almost time to think about Gavin McKenna?
PerreaultForever replied to Crusader1969's topic in The Aud Club
Matt Tkachuk. Only bigger. Definitely not Tuch. A little like Martone maybe. I know the skating critique and a lot of the bigger guys get that critique. It's an over rated stat imo. It's not like he's a bad skater, just not the best. Lots of guys who people said didn't skate well enough make it big. Look at Geekie on the Bruins. People said he'd never be more than a 4th liner due to poor skating. Last time I checked he was tied for most goals in the league. They adapt. -
You think it was right to offer the coach of the year a one year probationary deal? Seriously? After that debacle they brought him in as a sacrificial lamb. He never had a chance. Murray had to trade away every goalie because he still won too many games. They did not do right by him at all.
-
Not everyone. Playing to lose makes you a loser. You don’t tank for Clayton Keller.
-
They need to give Adams a deadline to make a decision on whether or not he wants to extend Tuch in Buffalo, although I have a feeling he is leaning towards joining another organization. Losing him for nothing July 1st is not an option.

Matthews and Stolarz both injured in loss to Bruins. Leafs might be challenging Sabres at the bottom this season. -
The issue with McKenna, which I brought up a few months ago, was my concern that he wouldn't produce at a high level in NCAA hockey against 22, 23, 24 year olds. Still think he'll be an excellent pro, but he's not in McDavid's class.... or Celebrini. I see more of a Clayton Keller watching him play.

The Menu was a good flick. Not eating smores again though. -
Savoie doesn't play the type of hockey we should want to play.

Jiri Kulich to miss significant time with blood clots

It's shocking really how many side effects there are with many common meds. As an internist, you know more than most
